Founders Al and Jean Koplin began their real estate careers building houses throughout the western suburbs. They created Hinsdale Management Corporation in 1966 and started building the properties which comprise the Hinsdale Management Corporation portfolio.
Over 50 plus years the portfolio has grown to over a million square feet of space. Our commercial, residential, and retail properties are still actively leased and managed by the Koplin family.

After serving in the Korean War, Alfred (fondly known as "Al") was desperate to find work. One day he saw some women trying to move refrigerators into a store and offered to help. They couldn't pay him with money but they helped him find a position as a kitchen cabinet salesman where he quickly learned the building trade.

I have been a business tenant at the 900 Jorie Blvd., Oak Brook, Illinois building for several years. From the beginning of the rental process through my tenancy they have been responsive and professional. The location is great and the space is clean and very reasonable for the location. They have been responsive to all of our needs. Great company and a great spot to lease for your business.

To find this kind of space in an apartment in Hinsdale is beyond rare! I was a resident in this building 7 years ago and loved every moment of it. I moved out after purchasing a condo nearby but after selling the condo it was not even a question of where I was going to rent again. I only made one phone call to Spinning Wheel (Hinsdale Management) and signed my lease the next day.
The location is prime for getting to all major highways, the residents are friendly and respectable and the staff is top notch. Save yourself the time in looking at other apartments and make this the first and last place you will ever rent again!

I started my practice as a green, new psychologist back in 2013. I left my sublease in the Spinning Wheel Rd building and took the leap to get my own space. From that very first meeting, Hinsdale Management has been nothing but absolutely amazing. I've now had 3 offices in their building (4 if you count the sublease experience) and was able to expand into bigger space even before my leases were complete.
They have helped us build out 2 spectacular suites, our current suite being our dream space, and have been nothing short of responsive, kind, friendly and personable. Their rates are also extremely competitive. My husband, prior to his career managing our practice, worked frequently with them for years when he was in the commercial architecture field and has only wonderful things to say. We can't imagine renting in another building.

I am a tenant at Hinsdale Management's Spinning Wheel apartments. I have been living there for 7 years now and I love the place. I rent a penthouse apartment with the best views from here to downtown! In addition, to the views the apartments are huge. I moved from a 2400 sq ft. townhome with a 1000 sq ft for basement, so space was very important. I also have 2 sister's that rent in the building as well and one who leases an office space.
So I would recommend these places to anybody. My experience with the staff has been really pleasant, the staff are really accommodating and they really care about their people. Since Covid-19 I had been experiencing some financial difficulties and Hinsdale Management had worked with me every step of the way. I feel blessed to have people who really care. So if you are looking for a place that is spacious, has amazing views, with friendly, and caring staff then the Spinning Wheel Apartments would be a great place for you!

I have been a tenant since 2017. They've been fabulous since the beginning and just as fabulous through this covid pandemic. They are quick with responses should I ever need anything. The most I've need is replaced lights and painted walls. Management works quickly and efficiently to get things done. Super lucky to have found such a wonderful management property as a young business owner.

We have been a tenant with Hinsdale Management since 2008. Since that time, the company has been fabulous in meeting all of our needs. The team at Hinsdale has been proactive throughout and when COVID restrictions created limitations, Hinsdale Management took the lead and added increased staff to maintain their building. They reduced the impact to my customers! I'd recommend Hinsdale Management to any company looking for affordable space and an amazing team. I'm glad were partners!

We have been living here for almost six years, and could not imagine living anywhere else. It felt like home the first time we saw one of the units. The apartments are larger than you will find elsewhere, and the views are awesome. There is plenty of closet space. The building is like a small village within a village. The people are friendly, and we have made many friends.
Management is always responsive when we need something. The maintenance service is excellent. There is plenty of free parking on the street. I LOVE my private balcony. Each unit has one. I call it my personal cafe, because I can sit outside, relax, and drink coffee. Then I can go inside for however long, go back out, and my seat and belongings are still there, LOL.
There is a party room, and pre-COVID there were fun parties and activities. A lending library was started by the tenants. The outdoor property is huge, and management just renovated the patio area next to Salt Creek - including a fire pit. It is beautiful! If you like gardening, there is a greenhouse and a locked, fenced-in garden. The building is conveniently located.
Everything is in close proximity: grocery stores, pharmacy, gas stations, restaurants, shopping, medical offices, Metra station, and downtown Hinsdale. The school district is fantastic. We are very happy tenants and plan to stay for a long time.

I have been in my office with Hinsdale Management since 2019 and have been nothing but pleased. The parking lots are maintained well (especially with all this snow!), the premises are always clean and well maintained. Starting my lease, building out my office, and getting moved in was all very seamless. I would definitely recommend anyone in the area looking for office space to check out what Hinsdale Management has to offer!

The apartments are spacious. Some have updated kitchens and baths and some have the original 1969 accommodations. We live facing east and have a fabulous view of the Chicago skyline, and sometimes spectacular sunrises. The management is professional but friendly. They sometimes have a holiday party or gathering for other reasons. There is an area with raised garden beds, fenced in, that residents can use, and a greenhouse if you want to start your garden plants from seed. Units are remarkably soundproof. And there is a feel of community, not intrusive but friendly and caring. We've been here 6 years and love it.
