Back in early October 2019 I went and saw a duplex managed by Mountain View property management. Upon entry into the property I found it to be extremely dirty, with stuff left over, food and standing water in the sink and bathtub etc. I was put off but the person showing the duplex promised me it would be professionally cleaned, and they would repair all damages and paint.

We decided to go ahead with moving because of these promises and terminated our lease. We were all packed into a moving truck and showed up at the property to receive our keys and give our deposit etc. on the planned date. When no one was there we called and due to a miscommunication we had to drive to bend to do our signing there. When we drove back to the home and went to start moving things in we saw that it had not been cleaned well, bathtubs and sinks were stained and grimy, floors had burn marks and stains along with peeling in the laundry closet, they had spackled with blue spackle but neglected to paint and the blinds were bent almost to being unusable. Worst of all under the back deck there was trash and furniture and a bucket of water and feces in the backyard.

We called very upset, and we're told that we could live with it or essentially be without a place to live. Due to timing we had to move in and they dealt with the feces and trash but that was it. To make our house a home I paint matched and painted the spackle, took down the blinds hung curtains instead and had to live with the flooring. We were exemplary tenants and paid on time or early even with Covid.

We recently bought a house and ended our lease instead of renewing. Cleaned as best we could and emailed to make sure that we were not penalized for damages that were there upon move in( I even had my sister help me deep clean) we rehung the blinds, mowed the yard and make sure it was clean and empty besides normal wear and tear. On the last day they could return our deposit legally they sent me a letter keeping over 2/3 of my deposit for tub stains that were there when we moved in, replacing all blinds (that we never used.) and completely painting the home (which they refused to do when we moved in) i tried to be reasonable and emailed trying to work something fair to both parties out and was rejected.

Please avoid Mountain View property management if you expect fair treatment and an honest property management. While we lived there we were ignored for many maintenance requests, had an absolutely terrible experience moving in and even worse moving out. I would avoid this company at all costs. Mountain View is absolutely fantastic in every way! I am an out of state owner; they provide EXCELLENT service: 100% occupancy, immediate attention to any problems, immediate response to emails and phone calls, and they genuinely care about the tenants, properties, and owners. Don't do business with these people they will keep your deposits regardless of how you treat their property avoid them at all costs!

We've been renting from Mountain View Property Management for almost 2 years now. They were so helpful from the very beginning when we put in an application in 2019. The staff is so friendly, incredibly responsive, and they get things handled! Both Brent and Marlene specifically have been so easy and enjoyable to work with. Mountain View has been the property manager for our Bend Rental for almost 5 years now. My wife and I live in Eugene and we're nervous a out have rentals away from us but Mountain View has made this easy for us. Honestly, I rather have more rentals in Bend than Eugene because of Mountain View. They take care of everything from regular maintenance, to repairs, and normal upkeep. They are just amazing to work with. I highly recommend you give them a call. Be sure to tell them Bob sent you!

We recently moved from out of state and Deborah at Mountain View Property Management made it a breeze. Everything was well organized, our questions were answered quickly, and I love the modern online dashboard for payments and forms. We walked in to a beautiful and clean home after a long day on the road and we couldn't be happier.

I can not believe I am writing a review for a property management company.but they have gone above and beyond time and time again. They are always kind, responsive and go above and beyond for their tenants. I have rented from a lot of property management companies in my life and I have never had a good experience until now. Hands down the best property management company I've ever worked with. I've partnered with management companies as both a tenant and a landlord, and Mountain View has been the most professional and responsive team of all. Highly recommend.

My wife and I have had three property managers in Bend over eight years. We have been satisfied with all of them, but our most recent firm, Mountain View Property Management, is a step above. They are knowledgeable, responsive, and, in general, professional. Property managers are best when they serve both clients (tenants and owners), and Mountain View does a superior job.

Personally the worst landlord I've ever had. There was a point where we went two weeks in the cold without heat, I was charged out of my deposit for things that were not my responsibility. The landlords even tried to send emails out telling the tenants how to distribute their money to each other if they felt as though you didn't do your cleaning part.

I have never in my life had a landlord try to tell me how to distribute chores, or my money. They were awkward and unpleasant to speak to. Basically a wonderful example of people in Provo. Good luck if you've chosen them as your property managers.

I do not recommend this company at all; I was an out of town owner. Terrible customer service, accounting "errors", not informing me when tenants didn't pay rent, etc etc. I found out through friends later that this company has a terrible reputation, despite their website that looks good.

Everyone who works there besides the first lady you see is really nice. Heather, the receptionist is RUDE and condescending in nature. I am shocked and appalled by the way she treats the people who come in to the office. I've heard Deschutes Prop Mgmt is the worst in town, but I've rented with them and had a much better experience! It's a shame because the other two women, Debbie and Marleen are super friendly and helpful. Heather ruined my experience and i definitely don't recommend ever communicating with her.

I used this company due to the fact they were near the Real Estate Company that I bought the house through. WHAT A MISTAKE!. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are late or absent informing you of late rent checks and payouts. We were not informed our tenants had given notice until 14 days afterward, and that was only because we contacted them. The workers are seldom there after noon and do not return messages.

They will only respond using email and never in a timely matter or at all. We did not get a rent check and when we had to call them and ask why, they said the person did not pay. My wife asked if they had called them and their response was, "well, I guess we could." Isn't that their job? When my wife said that we need our check and that response was unacceptable, BJ Soper emailed us and said we were abusive to his staff and dropped us.

He did not even have the guts to talk to us in person! I guess abusive is asking them to do their job and what they get paid for. To repeat. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! You will be dissatisfied with all aspects of their service.
