The staff at Anchor is FABULOUS! They went above and beyond for me when my reservations with Meyer Realty was cancelled last minute. Then, my husband had unexpected surgery just 4 days before our trip, and they were MORE than accommodating to our situation. I cannot recommend them enough and will definitely be staying with them again!

We stayed in a condo located in Orange Beach through this company, and I would not recommend. The dishes were not clean upon arrival. The air conditioning was entirely too loud, to the point it startled you when it would come on. The microwave also sounded like it was going to blow up. The Anchor Vacations workers were not helpful either. This was not worth almost a thousand dollars, at all.

When we first arrived at our home we noticed trash and such underneath the house apparently vagabonds were making good use of this place apparently while the house wasnt being checked on. When contacting the office to alert them of the situation we were told a maintenance person would be there to take care of all the debris, that was not the case.

We waited for hours for them to clean and we ended up doing it our selves. Another interesting piece is the neighbors on both sides of us came to us to warn us that vagabonds had indeed been camping out there underneath and showering, we were also told that Anchor vacations was alerted to this. According to Anchor of course they say they were not alerted, but Im inclined to believe the neighbors afterall there was trash and showering items stating apparently someone was utilizing said underneath.

When I called to express how I felt about this, I was only given a $40.00 cleaning refund. So this goes without saying this is my first and last time booking with Anchor. My feeling is had they checked on this place before we got there they would of seen the mess an hurried an cleaned it up, it states to me that they really dont care about the properties. I would venture to say that today unless someone else alerts them that vagabonds our indeed camping out there they are not the wiser. We felt very unsafe at the Happy Clam.

Could not have found a more pleasant vacation home. Clean and comfortable with a cordial expression throughout. We were impressed with the detail furnished by the owner, such as extra light bulbs, pillows, and comforters. Obviously, professionally decorated with a beachy feel and welcoming ambiance, we took pictures to consider changes back home. Though we didn't cook much, the kitchen was fully furnished right down to the appropriate stemware. Traveling almost 200 days a year, we have no reservations about recommending this condo and look forward to a return visit in the winter.

We stayed here in room 409 this past weekend from May 25th-May 28th. Overall I cant say a whole lot about the accommodations. When we booked the room, being as it is to sleep up to 6/7 people, we were told that two parking spots came along with the booking. When we got there to check in, we found out that we had to pay additional fees for any vehicles.

Not a single one was included in the booking cost. Not even 24 hours in we had problems with the room keys not wanting to let us in. Some times it would blink red, sometimes it didnt register at all. We had to go to the office 4/5 times to fix the issue. Finally they replaced the batteries in the main lock. The office staff was rude, pissy, and didnt have much interested in helping their guest. Lastly, upon leaving, we did the courteous thing by sweeping majority of the tracked in sand up, wiped down counters, made sure all dishes had been ran and washed, and so forth. Left, turned out keys in.

And headed home. Today May 31st we are charged $110! after speaking with someone at anchor, who didnt know why, she contacted the condo then gave us a call. These people are trying to say that they have pictures of ashes and cigarettes butts all over the room, and claiming they had to strip everything down due to the smell of smoke. Mind you we have small children in this room under the age of 5!

Not once was a cigarette brought into that room and we are extremely disappointed with the way this is going. Might I add we were also charged another $40 for them to wash the comforter! The cleaning policy clearly says fresh linens are included and any additional cleaning will be extra. There was not reason to be charged extra! We will be doing everything in our power to have our bank reverse the charges as they are FAULTY! We will not be booking again, and would never recommend the condo to anyone!

My family stay at Summer House West 103-c in June 2016. This was our first time staying there. It was cleaned. It had a great view of little lagoon. The price was reasonable. My family enjoyed it. We hated to go home. The staff at anchor vacations was very helpful and professional with all the questions my family had. We will stay at this property next year. Thanks anchor vacations for making our summer trip wonderful.

We stayed a couple of weeks ago and the view and condo was great! Air worked perfect (saw some older reviews). And the updates were absolutely beautiful! Old pics online do not do it justice! Beware of the awful answering service if after hours but the place is really nice! Will stay again.

I just read a review done years ago by another Google user. I had to add here that I have been using Anchor for 3 years now and I have been amazed at the quick response one gets to any inquiry by email or phone. Not only was I pleased with the home we stayed in, all the family loved it too. I found each home, we have used in the last few years to be exactly as pictured, clean, up-to-date furnishings and would recommend highly to any looking for a sweet, quiet stay at the beach. These are good people and they work to make your stay really comfortable. I have been really REALLY pleased each year!

We rented a house from them that had the A/C unit out and the house was 93 degrees inside. The house also had many issues that were conveniently left out of the pictures - bathtubs had mildew and refrigerator was stained and dented. They sent an A/C repairman to fix it and he said the A/C was shot, but he patched it temporarily. We had a 3 mo. with us, that we were concerned about and the heat index was 110 all week we were there.

They ultimately moved us to a new house, of there choosing, but attempted to force us to move back upon our objection that we did not feel the house was safe for us to stay in because of the A/C and the extreme heat and the danger it could pose to our daughter if it went out as the A/C man said it could. Also, we were not excited to be dealing with the situation throughout our entire vacation.

I mentioned that they moved us, but it was to a more expensive house, which they chose. We just asked to be moved. They attempted to force us to move, or pay the additional price. We said that was not what we were comfortable with and that we'd use our trip insurance or ask for a refund. Their response was to show us the rental agreement that said A/C is not guaranteed and would not be eligible for a refund or insurance.

The employees who we talked to always said it was not their decision but someone named "Donna". We never were able to talk to Donna, even though they said she was the owner. We requested several times and were told she would call us, but the employees would call us back. They were borderline harassing us about this and ultimately, quit harassing us when they charged my card for an additional balance I did not authorize. It was an absolute mess of a trip because of them and I do not recommend them at all.
