During a relocation to midtown Manhattan for work, I was luckily paired with Alexa Johnson as my realtor in finding an apartment. I've worked with many realtors through several moves and can say without a doubt that the service Alexa (as well as John Dugan) provided during my search was unmatched. They showed me fantastic options, were available at all hours for my many questions, and helped me navigate my apartment's co-op board approval process with ease. I couldn't recommend using Anchor Associates more - especially with Alexa Johnson and John Dugan!

We had the pleasure of working with Marcel Garland in finding an apartment in midtown Manhattan. We reached out to Marcel after seeing an ad on StreetEasy and although that particular unit was not up to what we expected, Marcel immediately showed us other units as per our requirements. He was always on time, never pushy, transparent about everything and answered all our questions patiently.

He was also available day and night on the phone and made all the paperwork a real breeze. We were on a time crunch and had less than 2 weeks to find an apartment as our lease term was ending on the previous building, Marcel really went above and beyond to send us multiple listings suiting our requirements. We ended up taking a beautiful apartment which he found for us before it even hit the online websites. It was everything we were looking for and a real steal and we can't thank him enough. I would highly recommend Scott Schiller for anyone who's looking to rent a decent apartment in New York City. Scott moves fast to secure and close the deal. He is also very thoughtful and sensitive to my needs in terms of fixes for the potential apartment. Scott also maintains good relationships with the landlord which helps me greatly.

Fern Kamins is the best! She helped me pick out and buy the perfect apartment in Brooklyn. I've worked with a number of agents all over the US, and Fern was hands down the best. Honest, reliable, knowledgeable and savvy - she knew all the up and coming areas and was able to help me get in quickly and early to several new buildings. She helped me understand the landscape so I could make smart choices.

She also helped me negotiate a great price! She understood the limits of what we could negotiate and got a fabulous price. I've since used fern to help me rent out a property and she went above and beyond and found me fabulous tenants quickly and at a good price. I am so grateful to fern!

I worked with George Giallias, who helped us secure an apartment in Queens, NY. He was so wonderful with us throughout the entire process - answering all of our thousands of questions during the open house and via emails, giving us updates whenever we asked for it, following up with the landlady, coordinating our move-in, and walking us through the application questions.

He even let us know about fun events in the neighborhood after we had moved in. After speaking and touring with about 8 different agents, I was worried that we wouldn't find the right apartment before we met up with George. Searching for an apartment in New York is stressful and no one looks forward to it. However, due to the help, I received from Paul from Anchor Associates I was able to have my housing needs resolved quickly and ended up finding a gem of a place. He listened to what I wanted in a place and scheduled tours at places that met those requirements. And when it was time to submit an application to my favorite location, Paul fought for me and made sure my bid stood out against the pack. I worked with Alfred Livadhi to find my last apartment. He was kind enough to meet me after hours and work with me when I had to make a last moment adjustment. I especially enjoyed his plain-language insights into what makes a particular apartment good value (as he sees a lot of places and management companies, he's an expert in the market). Shenna Vaughn is very helpful and it is so clear that she cares about her clients. She goes above and beyond for her clients and creates an individualized experience. I recommend using her as your agent to support you with finding both your temporary home or forever home.

The people at Anchor Associates treat their clients with proper due care. And by that I don't just mean these agents know the lay of the land in this brutal yet rewarding city. I don't just mean they treat you with respect and hear you out for YOUR needs. On top of their fantastic focus on service this company from the upper management to the receptionists are warm and welcoming and a whole lot of fun. That's what you want in a broker.

People who are serious about this business, but also treat you like a respected guest in their house too. Now let me focus on my guy Paul Figueroa. This man is Mr. New York hands down. A friend back in LA referred me to Paul (I pretty much had no connections to this city with the exception of Paul at this point), and given my experience working with him I am certain very few people know as much about NYC as he does.

On top of that, even with our quick shifting needs he knew on the button what we should look at and the turnaround we needed to have. The guy is honest and won't sugarcoat it, which I highly respect. Hopefully won't have to move again soon, but when I do I know where to go.

Avoid at all costs. the actual team we worked with have the worst customer service/customer mentality. they will show you apartments that "look nice" but are actually being cheaply covered up with recent renovations that will fall apart as soon as you live in them for a week - and they do this all knowingly. the anchor associates team and the buildings they work with are absolute garbage.

These people are frauds. An agent named Audrey Blair used my address as a renting listing to lure people in. I've reported Anchor NYC to apartments.com and will continue to do so until they stop using my address.

We recently worked with John Dugan in finding an apartment for rent on the UES. He found us a perfect fit, was not pushy at all and only showed/sent apartments that met our requirements. The entire process with the leasing company and approval process/lease signing went seamlessly. Highly recommend, by far the best broker we have worked with in NYC!

Audrey Blair was amazing and a true joy to work with. Immediately after contacting her, I spent more than a half hour with her to talk about literally every single thing I was looking for in an apartment, including very minute and specific details (e.g. doorman and live-in super? washer/dryer in unit?). Audrey was always cognizant of my preferences and budget and would fight to make sure every apartment I looked at was perfect and also affordable.

She was also incredibly upfront and forward about every place we saw, especially about potential broker's fees. Due to a few unforeseen circumstances, I had to see a lot of apartments and I ended up meeting up with Audrey quite a few times this last month. She was always gracious, patient, and willing to jump through so many hoops for me. I'm so glad we picked Audrey to help me find an apartment and would recommend her to anyone trying to navigate the confusing and fast paced New York City housing market.

Worked with Audrey Blair to look for my first apartment in New York after I was recommended to her by a friend. She was incredibly sweet and accommodating and ran through all my preferences and guidelines with me in depth on the phone, bringing up points I hadn't even thought to consider. Absolutely loved my experience working with Audrey Blair. She was so sweet throughout the entire process; called me to deep-dive into my apartment preferences, ideal neighborhoods, and what I would give/take on. I was very early to the search (looking 8-10 weeks out from my move-in date) and she helped guide me through the market. Audrey set up a full day around various neighborhoods so I could see different places that met my needs, as well as how far my dollar would stretch, in each place.

I ended up falling in love with the first apartment I saw, but continued the tour to be sure. Under no pressure to commit at all, given that I had about 10 weeks to move, Audrey went above and beyond to secure the apartment I liked, and finalize terms that allowed me to move in later than the landlord asked. She also helped negotiate rent down significantly, and worked with the management company (Aimco) to adjust payment terms, move-in/move-out dates, and clarify terms in the lease around damages, improvements, and more.

As someone who negotiates for a living, I drilled into every detail of the contract, and bless her soul, Audrey was there fighting every battle with me until the lease was perfect. Excellent experience (pit stop at a pub included), overall. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Finding the perfect apartment in New York can be a difficult experience. Luckily, I was fortunate enough to find an apartment on StreetEasy listed by Scott Schiller. The pictures and description of the apartment were spot on (something which is not always the case) and the entire process was clearly explained. I've switched apartments five times while living in New York and working with Scott was my best broker experience, he truly listens to your needs and finds the perfect place that checks all boxes.

My appreciation for Scott grew even more when I was approved for the apartment and learned that Scott would be the apartment manager. Anytime I had a question about the apartment (even trivial things like holiday gift expectations from the building doorman and staff), Scott was there to provide support and guidance. I have the highest respect for Scott and would recommend him to anyone searching for an apartment.

I have finished off a property search with Anchor's Real Estate Agent, Ian Sossen. Ian - aside from years of experience - is an agent that truly works for his clients/customers in their quest for better living conditions. He is very knowledgable about most areas in Manhattan and has a firm grasp about the "appetites" of many high-end management companies (what they are looking for so the applicants will promptly qualify for approval be it in rental or purchase.) As observed, on numerous occasions, he has an excellent long-standing professional relationships with a number of realty firms and several co-brokers; that is to say he is respected by his peers and my a number of his clients, like myself.

I have already given several of his business cards to associates of mine whom are looking to purchase high-end market real estate. If you have been burned by using other realtors in Manhattan, as I have in the past, you should make one last effort and contact Ian Sossen at Anchor Associates.

He moved around his schedule to fit us in, and met up with us on weekends (since my roommate and I both had hectic schedules). He was always accommodating, thoughtful and honest about everything.
