At Home In Key West

Our condo was very clean, spacious and well stocked with needed items including beach towels. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Included was one parking space which we did not need as we rented bicycles for the week. Ample bike racks everywhere in Key West. Would recommend, but bring bug spray for the "sand flies" which love to bite when outside.

I have owned a home in Key West for years as a part time residence. At Home In Key West has watched over my property and helped with repairs, maintenance, and keeping things in working order for me for years. They are always professional and responsive. Problems in the home are taken care of quickly and with great attention to detail. They've provided housekeeping, painting, plumbing, HVAC, and so much more. I would highly recommend them to watch your home, regardless if you rent or just need it looked in on they will help keep your home looking amazing.

My wife and I used Caroline Bauer to help find our home in Key West and she was excellent. We would recommend her to anyone looking for an agent who is knowledgeable about the Lower Keys. Caroline spent time answering our questions and providing objective data. We had concerns about hurricanes and she was a wealth of information on how different areas fared after an event.

She did not try to sugarcoat things and we appreciated her professionalism, knowledge, honesty and hard work ethic. We never felt like she was just trying to sell us a home. In the end we found a home that was perfect for us and we are loving it so far.

My wife and stayed for few nights at the Osprey. We loved it. The development and the neighborhood are quiet. It's a very convenient location to get to everything in Old Town. I really enjoyed being in a neighborhood instead of a commercial area. I would absolutely stay here again.

Enjoyed a week in Key West in one of their properties, sundown refuge. Great location in quiet Truman's Annex but very close to anything you want to do. The condo was super clean and adequately stocked. Rental staff was easy to work with, too. They go above and beyond to make sure their guests have an enjoyable vacation.

Rented "Parrot Perch" in the Key West Shipyard condo complex. Lida, from "At Home" was wonderful - responsive to our questions and communicated with us throughout the rental process. The rental cost was cheaper than a hotel room and the five of us (my wife & I, plus 3 kids ages 18 - 21) had plenty of room. The unit was clean, comfortable and cool.

The Location was amazing - two blocks from Duval Street, 15 - 20 minute walk to Fort Zachary Taylor beach, 5 minute walk to Ernest Hemingway house. Great experience - we will use "At Home in Key West" again. And we loved the "Parrot Perch"!

I can't say enough great things about this company which is why we continue to rent from them every year. I experienced a medial emergency while I was here that effected the reservation. I'm sure it was a massive headache for them but they were beyond compassionate and accommodating. They went above and beyond what they needed to do for adjustments. Lida and staff are truly amazing. Looking forward to my next trip here with this company.

Here is where it all starts and they were wonderful. Our townhouse at 510 Porter Lane was exactly as pictured. We also could not have asked for a more responsive property management staff. A++++++

The property itself was clean, well appointed and comfortable. It did turn out that our coffee pot had issues, but as soon as I reported it, it was replaced promptly and the person I dealt with was courteous and helpful. Contactless pick-up and drop off of keys worked great.

The people here At Home In Key West, especially Lida, have made vacationing in Key West a pleasure. We've rented several properties, some more than once and have always been happy and comfortable. Communications are easy, even during the pandemic.

Loved, loved, loved Paradise Palms in Key West. The property is exactly as the photos show and had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with quality utensils and cookware. The location was great as well - most everything was within walking distance and there were some outstanding restaurants nearby (Seven Fishes is a "must try" restaurant).

In addition, Faustos grocery store was only a couple blocks away so we could easily walk there to pick up any food items to prepare at home. The management was also excellent. We had a couple of issues because the property had been closed down for a couple of months due to Covid, however the management took care of all of our issues very quickly and courteously. Check in / check out was very easy. I'd rate our with "At Home in Key West" as A++++++++++++++++.

We ended up having to book last minute due to our original plans to stay in Key West falling through. We stayed in a great 1 bedroom condo on White Street. The property was updated, well-maintained, and perfect for just me and my husband. The check-in and check-out process was so easy! The location was good- quiet enough but close enough to all the fun on Duval Street. We really enjoyed our time in Key West and would definitely recommend using At Home to anyone who needs a vacation rental in Key West!

We just left and had a wonderful time. We loved the two bedroom property we stayed at. It was steps away to the water park and Fort Zachary state park. I'm giving it a four star because when we arrived we had to clean:/ the cleaning for us wasn't done properly.

This was one of my most favorite trips to key West and At Home in Key West was a big part of it! I was celebrating my 50th with friends and Lida had a bottle of champagne waiting for me. What a awesome and kind greeting I'll never forget! The whole process from start to finish was easy and every person I spoke with was fantastic and friendly. 2 people in the group had never been to Key West and couldn't stop saying what a great place and location I had picked out.

We all loved it. The 4 of us stayed in Breezy Bungalow which was possibly the cutest place ever with tons of extra room and very comfortable. So close to all the activities but quiet at the same time. The pool isn't overly crowded, the ammentities were great, the property is well maintained and the bungalow itself was so clean. I unfortunately am only able to give it 5 stars but its a total 10. Thank you Lida, everyone at At Home in Key West, Breezy Bungalow owner.you made me look good.

We just got back from our vacation in Key West. The house we rented was even better then what was posted online. We rented Casa Grande on Amelia Street. The location was good and the houses very clean.

What a great place to stay in Key West. 'At Home in Key West' was such a pleasure to deal with. The communication was great, they were receptive to special requests and they maintained a professional but hospitable attitude throughout our entire booking and stay. They have many properties that will fit most people's needs, and their prices were fantastic.

What a value. We stayed in the Conch Condo, and we were very pleased with the accommodations. The place could have more mirrors and minor upgrading, but overall, this was a beautiful, well maintained property. I will be contacting them again for our next trip to Key West. Don't hesitate if one of their properties is available.

I would never do business with this company again and would never recommend them to anyone. The rental cottage was OK but watch out for the hidden fees! Charging a tenant for A/C maintenance, carpet cleaning, etc. is a joke. I have rented from other Key West Real Estate Management firms and never encountered any hidden fees like at Home Key West.

I didn't break the lease I was told If you gonna be able to find a new tenant I'm gonna be able to walk away from the lease. And I paid the difference after I moved out and the new tenant moved in. I'm outraged by the fees they charged me.people be aware there is a lot of hidden fees before you sign the lease read carefully! They gonna charge you for this and that.

This company also overcharged me for maintenance fees! its making money by ripping off people. I replaced the a/c filter and there was no damaged smoking detector or missing bulbs. And they charged me $198 for nothing! For hidden damages! And the yard yes I agree I didn't cut the grass so they charged me $179.30 for 1010 townhouse yard cleaning for cutting the grass basically there us nothing to clean there.

And the garbage what garbage I put everything in the trash can and what i supposed to do take the trash with me? If garbage day is Monday and i moved out on Sunday. So basically they charged me for taking the trash cans out! I will never recommend to rent from this company for all my friends and anybody!

Several years ago i had purchased a home thru ATIKW and found the process to be very easy. So I decided to have them manage my property and so far i am very pleased on how they take care of my home. I rent my home when I'm not there and so far because of there vetting process I've had some pretty amazing tenants except for one. Yes folks it does happen and by no means was it the fault of AHIKW.So if you read any reviews about them trying to force the tenant to pay for repairs that they did not cause it is totally untrue.

For example my last tenant poured drain-o down one of the sinks that had a garbage disposal and ruined it. This disposal was replaced just a few yrs back. So after careful consideration it was decided not to charge the tenant and I payed for the replacement. So the bottom line is don't be afriaid to use AHIKW there a great company and will go that extra mile

I have used At Home in Key West to manage the long-term leases on my rental home for 12 years. They thoroughly vet each rental applicant. Their professional guidelines for renters assures that my property is well kept and maintained. I have also used At Home in Key West to rent vacation homes. Each time has been a great experience. When we had maintenance issues they were dealt with immediately. I highly recommend At Home in Key West for both home owners and renters.

At home Key West listens to home owners concerns and works out equitable agreements between owners and guests.

Property owners do not use. Very negative experience. They would throw away all linens after rentals saying they were stained but not replace them saying there was not enough money left in security deposit. They often would charge (or try) for unnecessary repairs because they make a percentage on them. This was confirmed when I asked for a receipt after replacing our thermostat (so we could get energy rebate) and they could not provide one. Do not recommend as a home owner or renter. I am sure based on other negative reviews Sybil will be posting a weak response.

I have been renting my property with Athome in Key West for about 15 years. I find them to be be an excellent company. They have an attentive staff and keep my unit clean and repaired. They very responsive and professional in all matters. No concern is too small to take up with them. My guests have had only good things to say about the way they are dealt with and taken care of. You can't go wrong with them.

No problems with the rental company itself. 4 stars for the rental unit Linger Longer. Beds are very uncomfortable. For $300.00+ a night, the mattresses should not be saggy and hard to sleep on. Everything was in working order, but very dated. Again, for the price paid all windows should have window coverings and a bit more updated appliances, etc. I'd use the company again, but would prefer a more updated unit.

I've been using At Home in Key West since 2011 and can't say enough about how great they are to work with. From excellent customer service, to effortless coordination regarding any issue my property may encounter, AHKW is the best there is in the business.

Surprised to hear of any bad reviews on At Home KW. I've been using these wonderful people for 14 years and the rentals have been exceptional. More importantly, since I'm 1200 miles away, I rely on them to take care of the details to which I cannot attend. They always do!

My recent stay (3 weeks) was extremely satisfying. The property was perfectly maintained and @ Home's support staff was very nice and super responsive to my needs. I will use them again on my next trip in a few months. Thanks again for the wonderful experience.

I was confused and misinformed about about a deposit. To my surprise I was required to send a check or money order which in my experience is out of the ordinary, although I would have given had I been given a chance. When I asked about the deposit and policy I was met with well you signed the contract deal with it. Then I pointed out the reason I thought it wasn't due yet was because in their correspondence it said it wasn't due yet which I was again told well all that really matters is the original contract.

So when I objected to these responses and how I was being treated, I was then hung up on twice. I requested to talk to someone else multiple times and was denied. All the previous happened this past evening. When I got to my office this morning after a meeting I discovered that this same lady, Libby, had canceled my reservation and told my money would be returned for breach of contract. This is the worst customer experience of my life! I see that this is not the first time Libby has been given a bad review.

Renters Beware, especially military! We rented a long term rental for 2 years from AHIKW. We should have gone with our gut instinct and not rented from them, as they were very difficult to work with when first trying to rent the apartment. We first contacted AHIKW, 5 months before moving to Key West about an apartment that was going to be available.

After going through the application process we sent a $500 deposit, which we were originally told would hold the apartment until it was available. We received an email stating we needed to sign the lease and send the remaining $5,000+ within 2 weeks of sending the $500 deposit. My now husband was away on deployment and unable to send money or sign the lease in front of a notary. AHIKW did not care nor were they willing to wait 6 weeks for him to return.

During ours and the previous tenants time in the apartment, there were several plumbing issues that were never completely fixed causing flooding into the downstairs apartments. We had to deal with maintainance and plumbers constantly. Our wedding day happened to be one of them. There were several of us that planned on showering at our apartment when there was an issue and were told we could not use the showers until it was fixed.

We had to make alternate plans. I couldn't even shower in my own apartment on my wedding day. We rarely called for any issues with the apartment and usually just fixed them ourselves. Whenever we did call about an issue, the person answering the phone was very rude. When we went to move out, we replaced all the lightbulbs with the same or better bulbs than what was in the apartment when we moved in and even left several bulbs.

We were still charged $90 for lightbulbs. We were told the maintenance person did not see them or he would have used them, but yet they acknowledged they were in a cabinet when I said they were on the dryer. We hired a professional carpet cleaner, as required, to clean the carpets, but were unaware that the very old, outdoor carpet used in an unused stairway also required cleaning, which we were charged $110.

We also used a professionally cleaner recommended by AHIKW yet we were still charged $300 to clean the apartment. We were also charged a $75 administrative fee. During our time in Key West I recommended AHIKW to several incoming military families, I going forward will steer any future military families from AHIKW. I notified AHIKW that I would be posting a negative review, I received this response: "Your threat to post negative comments on the internet amounts to blackmail.

Perhaps your threat along with your not honoring your contractual obligations should be brought to (my husband's) commanding officer's attention." I welcome them to contact my husband's commanding officer and will provide them with his contact information, as it is my right to post a factual, negative review on any company.

I sent the following email to them about the negative treatment i received by a member of their team and they have never responded back. So here is the email and my story. Hi, I was looking to rent four properties, for a week, from you guys (due to the number of people in our family) and utilized the Chat function on your site to inquire about how we should proceed.

The chat said I was speaking with Libby and I will let you know that she is the sole reason you lost out on our business. At a point in our conversation she asked if someone else from my party was calling about the property as well, to which i replied No. She told me it was odd because someone was asking for the same dates and party size (which really wasn't correct because she stated that they had 11 occupants and i told her we had 11 adults and 13 children).

I said well then we should get on with my reservation so they don't get my rooms :). She then told me that that she had to go and disconnected immediately from the chat. I will have to say that i was very upset by this and reinstated the chat session and she actually was the one to respond to it. I asked her why she hung up and was i to understand that you guys did not want our business to which she never replied.

Once she did respond, she proceeded to tell me that i just needed to call to handle the reservation and i informed her that my cell was dead, no charger and this is why i was using the internet (on my iPad). She asked for my number and when i gave it to her she said that whoever called had the same area code. I informed her that there were over 1 million people with that area code and wasn't that uncommon for people to have the same one.

So i am not sure if this conduct is accepted or encouraged but, by her actions she has cost you around $10K or more in rental fees that we will now pay to someone else. So how you proceed from here will show how you guys handle business and care for your customers as well as how I proceed in my future dealings and vacations in your area. To say the least, I am very disappointed in how i was treated (basically being called a liar) and feel it is unacceptable. I look forward to your response and thank you for taking the time to read this.

If you're a local, you'll find these are not the property managers for you. Maintenance is non-existent, and they offer a bullying attitude towards top-knotch, clean, high-end tenants in high-rent properties. I have yet to find a local who has one nice thing to say about them. As a matter of fact, it's all pretty bad. Perhaps if you're a vacation renter, they'll seem ok at first glance.

After all, tourists never really have time to get to know them and that's a good thing for the tourists. They figure that you aren't there long enough to know what bad shape the place is in.

Friendly and efficient, top to bottom. Rented golf club property for a month, and worked with them thru the real estate branch. Great bunch of folks.
