Brigadoon Vacation Rentals

Home smelled like smoke and mold. Asked for a refund and was told they do not process refunds. Worst customer service experience. DO NOT RENT HERE.

This is a NO STAR Absolutely horrible. My family and I drove 3 hours to the location in Port Angeles. Upon our arrival, I noticed the floor didn't look clean. so I started looking around. There is no way in hell they cleaned after the last people were there. Women's hair EVERYWHERE. Floor, beds, bathroom, everywhere. Floors covered in dirt. Counters had hair and dirt all over.

I could not stay there but considering we just drive 3 hours, I started cleaning. I messaged the company and let them know of the situation and how grossed out we were. I was told it must have been overlooked. OVERLOOKED!? I was also told that unless i left right then, there would be no refund- even if we did not stay the entire time. I mean we are in a pandemic so how do you OVERLOOK cleaning exceptionally well between guests!?

So we washed all the sheets, swept, mopped. Wiped everything down slept on top of the sheets, with no covers and left as soon as we woke up. There was hardly an apology for the disgusting conditions or the fact that I had to clean. DO NOT STAY HERE. As a small business owner, I try and support small business every chance I get but this business obviously did not care about my family and our comfort Nor did they try and make the customer feel like we mattered.

So not a business to support. check out the pictures I posted and see for yourself if you want to pay to stay here. Mind you, these pictures are when we first arrived AFTER a cleaning company supposedly came in after the last family was here.

Brigadoon Vacation rentals is owned by Kathryn MacGeraghty who is well known in the area as running Blue Sage. A very small amount of reasearch will show you she is greatly disliked in the area, and also was in Colorado where she had a business before. This is because she is incrediably rude. You should also be aware she is anti-covid and regulary posts on her Linkdin about how she doesn't agree with safety measures.

She also stood in the way of a methodone clinc desperately needed by the community. She took a $38,000 PPP loan out from the government, got it forgiven despite admiting all her tenants paid rent on time, and they complained about not having the legal right to kick out PAYING tenants in the middle of a pandemic. She is selfish to her core and I would truly advise you to avoid her, or any company associated with her.

She controls her Google reviews for Blue Sage in Sequim but looking up the company on any other platform, including here, exposes her true character. Anyway enjoy this screenshot of a women who tookk $38,000 in welfare complaining about someone else being greedy

As vendors we would like to acknowledge a great professional, and warm attention from Brigadoon team. As Anequim we are delighted by having this commercial alliance. We hope this lasts for many more years. A special thanks to his trust and cordiality.

The rental they gave us was clean but very poor upkeep of the house. Windows were dirty and one of them had painters tape on it. Carpet was very old and nasty. Path down to the beach was overgrown with blackberries so I had to cut these down before taking my elderly mother down there. Overall this was a disappointing experience.

I was forced to cancel a vacation planned at a beautiful cabin they rent. Covid issues and my wife did not wish to fly with new reports coming in. They accepted the cancellation immediately and refunded the deposit immediately. Sad I had to do this. But this is an honorable 1st class business. Don't hesitate to use them.

Great service, great vacation rentals. Everyone very organized and directions are clear. We have booked through Brigadoon several times and each time our experience was flawless. Highly recommend using this company if you want to book a vacation rental in Sequim.

I call him Lyle-Lyle-Crocodile, the main-man/owner/mgr of Brigadoon. His name is Lyle Lape and we've interviewed 3 vacation rental outfits as we prepare to move to Sequim & buy a home and a couple rental properties (these will require a property manager). Since we needed to rent a place while we looked for property, we tried Windemere (Dollie has all the warmth and tact of a range fire -- run!) and Landmark (too busy to return inquiry calls from prospective renters) and Lyle-Lyle-Crocodile, the only guy in town I'll deal with -- and the only one I would want to represent me as a property manager.

If you're looking for a vacation rental, he's the best in town. If you need to rent a vacation hovel for a few days or weeks, of if you need a property manager, Brigadoon is the best choice IMHO.

We needed a small place where we could relax and unwind after house hunting. We found the perfect place through Brigadoon. We actually found them through the Home Away website. Brigadoon responded almost immediately. They booked our "cabin hideaway " quickly and efficiently. They were friendly and helpful and their office is easy to find. Our cabin was perfect.

It was clean and furnished with everything we needed including coffee, tea, dishes, and even a washer and dryer. The peace and quiet of this place was just what we needed after stressful days of house hunting. We did find a new home, but will remember this place fondly and recommend Brigadoon vacation rentals to all of our family and out of town guests. Thanks!

This is a great house for the whole family to stay at. There are 3 bedrooms on the main floor and one in the basement. It had a huge back yard with a very nice BBQ and fire pit. The back yard is very private surrounded by fruit tress. There are many windows in the house allowing the natural light to flow through out the house. The views from all the windows is spectacular! I even saw a cruise ship from the dinning room. The next time we need to stay a few nights in Port Angeles we will be back the the Red Brick house, very close to everything!

We rented Sunset Beach cabin west of Pt Angeles for three nights Aug 17-20, 2013. From the moment we started the process through to the actual rental and check out, we couldn't have been any happier with the service, property, value.excellent outfit! Highly recommend them. Lyle was so accommodating and good to work with. The cabin was wonderful, and came with so many nice touches.

All we added was our food and personal items. The rental place is listed with the wrong address here though. They are just off highway 101 behind the Sequim Chamber of Commerce.
