Dominion Properties has been an outstanding building owner. The employees are all friendly, professional and efficient. Dominion Property truly cares about the well being of their tenants and the community around them. Thanks!

Awful company to rent through. This is my experience from my time at 1671 N Prospect. Was told that there was parking available in their back lot ($100 a month) which was a lie, the majority of their parking is in a parking garage located several blocks away at 1550 E Royall Place ($140 a month) with the only entrance in the alley. Frequently Dominion employees park in tenants spots and the lot doesn't get plowed/shoveled in the winter along with the entrances.

They just throw down rock salt which gets tracked into the building. Falsely advertised on their site that there are store lockers available since they don't exist. The included water is something the tenants of the building have to collectively pay for quarterly. All appliances are electric. This building was recently "updated" but it's a facade.

The central heat is extremely loud, so loud that you can hear it coming through in other units which also describes how thin the walls are. The windows open horizontally which is a terrible idea considering there's no central A/C so every unit needs an A/C Unit. The windows are about 5 ft tall by 3 ft wide so there's an obnoxious gap to have to fill in the summertime. A/C units are to be provided by the tenant fyi.

Police are called here several times a month as break ins are common, assaults in the back parking lot and domestic disturbances. There has never been communication by Dominion about this which speaks to their lack of concern about the safety and well being about their tenants. The back parking lot is an area that a lot of people use as a cut through, yet there are no security cameras there.

The office staff will give you the run around by saying "I don't know" and never follow up with you on any questions you may have. Emails and phone calls are rarely responded to. In conclusion, save yourself the time, headache, and cost of dealing with Dominion. There's plenty of safer and cost effective options available across the city with rental companies that value their tenants.

Dominion has been absolutely wonderful to work with. I stayed at 1671 N Prospect and love the location of the building. While the heat is a little loud, the apartments are very nicely kept, large, and kitchens are updated. For the price paid there really isn't too much to complain about. The office is always wonderful to work with, as they reply quickly to all emails and phone calls, and maintenance shows up always within the day.

I even ended my lease early for other reasons and they were extremely helpful throughout the entire process. As far as renting apartments in Milwaukee is concerned, Dominion is my go-to.

After reading past reviews, it now makes sense that this company comes off as unhelpful and unresponsive when someone acquires about breaking a lease. I had a family emergency due to COVID and had to break my lease, tried giving as much notice as possible (30 days before the lease started). Was charged a lease breaking fee. I independently. advertised the apartment for two whole months, and only saw them advertise it once mid-June on Craigslist.

Long story short, I was charged a month and a half of rent plus the lease breaking fee plus $10 in utilities. They were not willing to help my situation at all, or show any empathy. Responses to my emails were short and standoffish. I get that someone breaking a lease isn't ideal, but there is no need to be rude and unaccommodating about it. I didn't want to pay you guys $1400, either. Anyways, yeah don't rent with these guys.

I have been with Dominion for almost a year and have been so impressed, especially during the Covid-19 stay at home ordnance. In addition, they are extremely prompt on fixing issues and I have had no trouble getting a hold of someone in the office. Keep up the wonderful work!

My wife and I have had a good experience renting from Dominion Properties in the Farwell/Royall location. They have answered our questions promptly and responded to maintenance requests quickly, often the next day if during the week. Payment is easy, can be done online or through the office/mail, and office is conveniently close to most of their properties.

Our only issue is a recent one- Dominion has recently listed our apartment for $100 less a month than we are paying now, but were prepared to renew our lease at the same, higher price we are currently paying. We are moving anyways (for reasons unrelated to Dominion's management) so this did not affect us, but it seems like this is a poor way to treat tenants who are giving the company renewed business. FYI most of Dominion's apartments allow cats, but not dogs.

This management company is wonderful. They are extremely attentive to the needs of tenants. I had an extremely unpleasant situation with a neighbor, and they did everything they possibly could to help make the situation better. The icing on the cake is that my fridge stopped working in the middle of the polar vortex. yet only 3 hours later, I had a new fridge! I will likely be leaving my studio apartment, but wherever I go next, I'm first and foremost going to be looking at Dominion Properties!

I lived at Sage on Jackson, which was a decent place, but I had many issues with the management company. First, they were unresponsive on many emails and calls that my wife and I left for them regarding our early move out. Second, if you have to move out early for special reasons, they give 2 options: 1) Pay $500 to break the lease, but still pay. rent every month until they rent it out without access to the apartment. 2) Pay 3 months rent (we had 4 months left to pay).

They urged us to do option 1 - all but ensuring us it would be easy. When they did list our place, they listed it for $100 more per month in the months of Jan-March. I understand that they have no incentive to rent out our.

I would not recommend renting from Dominion Properties to my worst enemy. Especially at 1671 N Prospect. First of all, my building was under construction every day for the entire 16 months I lived there. The drilling started every morning at 8am or earlier so sleeping in was NEVER an option. Naps were impossible. I also had to make sure my blinds were always closed due to the lift machine that was outside of my window.

I came out of the shower one morning with 3 workers right on the other side of the glass. My own personal parking spot was never available because random cars (usually a worker's) were ALWAYS in it. At least twice a week I had to park in the street because MY spot was taken. Dominion didn't do anything about it. I payed "month-to-month" rent after my year lease was up. HA!

What a joke. You have to give 3 months advance before moving out AND they charged me a $500 fee when I vacated early (yet still payed rent for months I didn't live there). They said this was for "advertising and administrative costs". Really? $500 just so you can list my apartment on your website a month earlier than expected. Ridiculous. Oh, also don't plan on moving out in the months of October, November, December, January, or February because its not allowed.

Even if you're paying "month-to-month". The hallways smelled like barf. The tenants would trash the halls and elevator and it wouldn't get cleaned up for days. I could smell the parking lot cigarette smoke through my windows on the 5th floor. Overall, if you want to spend a ridiculous amount of money to live in a smelly, loud shoe box as well as pay ridiculous hidden fees upon you're move out, rent from Dominion Properties!

I would recommend Dominion Properties to anyone, they have been a pleasure to work with! My apartment was clean when I moved in, any minor service requests were completed quickly (and by quickly, I mean usually. the next day!), and each time they checked to make sure I was happy with the service. I couldn't be happier with the office staff, they respond to my e-mails in a timely and friendly manner. Nothing but great things to say.

I have lived at a Dominion apartment building since May 2017 and I have been impressed by the way they conduct business. The apartments are kept clean and maintenance issues are handled in a timely manner. I would recommend Dominion to anyone looking for a nice place to live on the East side.

I have lived in many apartments over the years, and Dominion Properties is hands down the best landlord I have ever dealt with. Big enough to have great resources (and excellent buildings), but small enough to provide personalized service and a real community feeling. And this is to say nothing of the incredible commitment to sustainability their SAGE properties represent. You cannot do better in Milwaukee.

Love living at Sage on Prospect. Very dog friendly place with great neighbors. The apartment is very spacious and layed out well. The kitchen is great for cooking. We don't' miss utility bills. The maintenance and support is very accommodating. We are not going anywhere.

All of the staff are so professional and friendly. All of the maintenance guys that are frequently in my building for some renovations going on are so friendly and go above and beyond to open doors for you and resolve any issues you have promptly. Very nice people.

I LOVED my apartment through Dominion Properties! My roommate and I lived at one of their Oakland Ave. locations. It was recently updated, had nice appliances, lots of closest space (which is great when you have a huge wardrobe like I do). We only had one service issue, a clogged sink, which was taken care of in a very timely manner. The move out process was great.

They gave us a list ahead of time of the things they wanted us to take care of so we didn't get charged (many companies don't tell you that so they can keep your security deposit) and they were really patient when our moving truck ran a little later than expected. I think Kendall was the name of the girl that took care of us. She was really awesome!

I've spent the past year in Whitefish Bay and am left with nothing but positive things to say about Dominion Properties. Great remodeled unit, accommodating staff, clean facilities and friendly neighbors. If you're looking for a rental company who sees you as a person and not a unit number, look no further.

Our 2 bedroom apartment at 2030 N. Oakland was recently remodeled and the maintenance staff were available to paint our bedrooms the colors me and my room-mate wanted. Our heat was included as well which is GREAT for a 2 bedroom on the east side. Work orders were always completed within a few days. I would happily rent from Dominion again!
