What they don't show you. We have paid $6500 for a condo that was splitting at the seams. The emergency egress lights was fried with exposed wires. The beds to the door knobs were nasty. There was only 1 broken chair and a busted picnic table outside. I contacted Elliot's several times but they just put a bandage on it and moved on. I'm very disappointed in our stay and the way the situation was handled. This is my ONE LAST TIME #1 in North Myrtle Beach. This is my last time booking with Elliot's.

If I could give this dive, Monterey Bay condo 1135 a negative 5 I would. This is a dump. We came down for our daughter's volleyball tournament and was unable to stay where her team was staying- The Sheraton. Elliott Beach Rentals should be ashamed to be associated with such a hole in the wall. Talking about the difference of night and day. I thought from the photos that this would be a decent location, boy was I wrong.

This is one of Myrtle Beach's D Grade condos. D. Outdated finishes and decor are one thing, but the condition of the property is sub par. It's obvious that not much upkeep has been done. There is no trash can in the kitchen, the windows were dirty, there was no blanket for the second bed ( we went and bought a blanket for our daughter) stains on the walls and ceiling, paint chipping, trash behind the Murphy bed, the microwave is broken, there are dirty dishes in the cabinet, the sleeper sofa needs to be cleaned or re upholstered (we actually placed towels on it to sit on it)and the floor was gritty as if it had not been properly cleaned.

The remote key entry wouldn't let us back in the room. We had to buy our daughter new volleyball gear for her tournament since we could try get in the trashy room until after maintenance came later in the day. Upon returning we were harassed by a rent a cop in the parking deck, not allowing us to park our truck beside other trucks the same size, stating our was not allowed without giving us reason?

However that's a Monterey Bay issue not an Elliot Vacation Rental issue. I felt sorry for the too old security guard, as he seemed like he was definitely not fit for his position as he could not explain his actions. We'll process this experience as a character building experience for our daughter, as she has never been to a place of such disrepair.

The unit needs repairs, redecorating, painting and a deep deep cleaning. Luckily we are only here for two nights and our schedule has been so busy, we've hardly been at the dive. I hope someone that is thinking of this unit for an actual vacation reads this and saves their family the stress and God awful experience that we're having. Again, shame on your Elliot Beach rentals. Hold your property owners to higher standards. It reflects poorly on your firm.

I have been staying in North Myrtle Beach in different condos with this company for over 25 years. Never had a bad experience. Every place is clean, well maintained and their office staff are always friendly. If you want a nice place to stay on the beach that is reasonably priced, contact them.

Elliott Beach Rentals was amazing from start to finish. The price was right, the staff was very accommodating and pleasant. The condo was perfect, great view, I will use them when we return for sure!

What's there not to enjoy at the beach? Everything went as expected. All our needs and wants were met. Smooth check in and check out was super easy. We'll be returning soon.

I rented several units this past winter. Overall, the upholstered furniture needs to be deep cleaned at least once a year. There was much dirt and grime built up, not spills or stains. I cleaned it myself because I couldn't stand to look at it. Dusty baseboards need to be wiped with a damp cloth and painted every year as well. There was thick dust under every bed in every unit. Luckily, I don't have allergies and cleaned the areas myself with the provided mops.

No big deal. I'm unsure how often the units are deep-cleaned, but this should be mandatory for the owners. For people paying premium rates and fees in high season, I understand the negative feedback on this website. The after-hours associate in Cherry Grove was very helpful when I locked myself out of the unit. She provided an extra key upon showing my ID. I wish I had gotten her name, but she said she had 40 years experience. That's the kind of customer service that would keep me coming back.

Very nice, tastefully decorated, renovated unit, 211, at A Place at the Beach 4. Great oceanfront view, well-equipped kitchen, fabulous hot shower, excellent Sealy mattress. Perfect for an extended stay! Unit wasn't cleaned upon arrival, but Elliott made it right.

I honestly am baffled by some of the negative feedback. Even when I went to register there was a man ahead of me with a laundry list of compliments and the couple behind me didn't seem happy either. I actually felt really bad for the lady behind the counter. She was trying so hard to help. I brought them cookies to try to cheer them up. Seemed like they had a rough day.

So in my personal experience I'm either not that picky or I hit the jackpot with this place. It's BEAUTIFUL! So peaceful, amazing view. Safe and secure. I arrived on a holiday so Elliot was closed but the instructions were very clear on how to get in. I never had trouble getting through to somone when I had a question. And those questions and concerns were always answered quickly.

I was told the room would be ready around 3-5pm but I got a text at noon saying it was ready. When I arrived the condo had everything I could possibly need and then some. Even an air fryer! Such a nice surprise. The unit was recently renovated and it seems they chose only the best furnishings. It feels like a luxury condo. It was spotless. I think I might even be the 1st guest.

Regardless everything about this experience has been easy and way beyond expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to rent from Elliot again. And have already recommended them to my friends. Thanks for the wonderful experience

Making the rental was easy, and when we had questions they were promptly answered. When we arrived, the cleaners were still at the property, so we had to wait a short time to check in, but they allowed us to wait outside the home down by the pool so that was a wonderful compromise. Check in was easy and left no questions unanswered. Check out was also very simple. Very nice people to deal with.

What did I like? Location. $526= 2 nights (not a great value) but the ocean view was beautiful. We were expected to clean the place (I think) but it was not especially clean when we arrived, , based on excessive dust on chair rungs, flat surfaces in the Front Bedroom, and outer bedding needing a wash. The couch smelled so we sprayed it with enzyme cleaner.

We would have enjoyed learning a little more in advance about what we were expected to do and bring ourselves. For example, there were no sheets on beds nor toilet paper and towels on racks, so we went out and bought these (for a 2 night stay no less). Only later did we find a blue bag on the floor next to the TV that had sheets and towels. But- the oceanfront view was lovely.

I recently rented a five bedroom condo that slept twenty ppl. Needless to say I was so embarrassed to find a already used hand towel still hanging in the bathroom. This was definitely not a covid friendly.condo. Some of bed sheets and pillow cases were stained. The patio was dirty and the furniture was old and torn. The dishes that were left in the dishwasher machine were still dirty with food on them. Whoever they are hiring to clean their properties need to be fired.

The carpets were stained and the hot water went out. Once I contacted the 24 hour maintenance no one responded until the next day. Like they say you get what you pay for. I advised the front desk of my complaints and no one even attempted to reach out. They are all about the money. I will definitely check other options before going back to Elliott Beach rentals.

The staff at Elliot Beach Rental were great, however, the property was less than desirable. The Taj was listed and presented as a luxury rental, which included a $350 luxury charge, on their website. When we checked in we found that the property was heavily used and old, extremely dirty, it appeared that the property had not been cleaned before our check in, bugs, toilets didn't work, severe rust stains in the bathrooms, caked up dust around air vents, windows and doorways, bathtub and showers had cracks, back entry doors that were old were hard to close making it feel unsafe, back fence that is secured by a spungee cord, no smoke detectors, bugs, and a marketed private access to the beach that is covered by grass and leads to a dune. Elliot beach rental staff accommodated us as best as they could during our stay.

They sent out a maintenance man several times to address our issues and he even said this is disgusting and embarrassing. Outside of the Taj being a beach front property, I would not recommend this property. It needs serious updating to be considered luxury when compared to other vacation rental properties.

We stayed at the Hidden jem in North Myrtle. The house was so nasty when we arrived i had to to clean up before the rest of the family got here. The beds was so hard and dirty. The house was so dusty had everyone allergies acting up. Our gas grill was broke and nobody in our family like charcoal so that meased are plans for cooking we called to tell them someone finally comes out to fix it but never got fixed.

I will never use Elloitt again i was so disappointed our week vacation awful because of our rental the pool was the only good thing about our rental and the pool cleaning lady came and cleaned the pool 3 times while we was there so i give credit to the pool lady but No credit for Elliott we will never use them again i don't understand how y'all drop the ball on cleaning that's y'all job to make sure the property is clean and nobody does that.

Horrible disappointed by Elliott Property Staff and the product (studio rented). If you are looking for a rental property for your family keep scrolling. I'm 46 and have a family of four. We rented a studio apartment for the holiday at Myrtle Beach Resort and it's clear Elliott doesn't validate the properties. For starters, two of the four windows didn't have blinds (including the sliding glass door).

The hardware was there but they had been torn down. Try sleeping on the oceanfront without blinds at sunrise. Second, the furniture was torn, dirty, and flat or disgusting. Third, the air conditioner broke (I'll give credit were credit is do, this was resolved in a matter of hours). Fourth, their customer service. I asked to speak to a member of the management staff and was blown off.

I called back, in hopes to escalate, and was once again blown off. I didn't receive a call back. I still haven't! Let me be clear. It wasn't about the cost and I wasn't looking for anything free. I asked to be moved because the property was that unsatisfactory and couldn't get anybody in management to even respond to me. LOTS OF RED FLAGS! I've rented in this building from another company and while that property was slightly dated, everything was clean and well prepared for our arrival.

We rented an apartment with Elliott for a week, at Sunrise Point unit 12D when we arrived the apt was ok, until we checked it. the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes we put it to wash., when we checked the master bathroom the shower door and the ceiling was covered in black mold, my husband sent an email reporting what happened they said they gonna send someone to check it, 2 days later the person came to check I explained to him that I had asthma and that I couldn't stay in those conditions, he apologized and said he was going to send someone to clean, 2 days later no one had shown up, my husband called Elliott again they apologized this was already Thursday.

Our week was over on saturday and no one came to clean the bathroom, i rented a 3 bedroom and 3 bathroom apartment and used 2 bathrooms. a word of advice to Elliott don't promise what you can't do my mistake was not checking the reviews before looking for you guys. now i saw how bad you guys are.

Update: The company did follow up and sent someone for a reclean of the room. Unfortunately it was not worth the effort. The company representative was very nice, but whoever maintains and cleans the rooms is obviously oblivious. They took out our trash, poorly wiped two of the three patio windows as far as their arm reached up and down, and put a pan we were soaking in the sink away so it was still crusty from our eggs.

They completely lack an understanding of cleanliness. Perhaps our standards are just not on the level of this company. It's a shame because small changes like vacuuming and dusting could have a huge impact on customers' experience and it is evident in reviews of this company that we are not the only one's. I am updating from one star because we are pretty resilient and we cleaned most of the room ourselves and are enjoying ourselves.

Original Review: We received notice our room was ready for check in at 10:30am. We arrived around 5pm. We had dirty dishes in our dishwasher. The microwave handle is broken. The shower head is moldy. The dryer lint was completely full and a fire hazard. The room hasn't been vacuumed. The toilet paper holder and towel rack are falling off the wall.

Everything is covered in dust. The outdoor chairs are completely black. The patio window has never been cleaned. Perhaps if you took more care to your rooms instead of having the room ready immediately after a check out, it would be cleaned. The excuse that it was the previous guests responsibility is a joke. We should not be scrubbing our room clean, even more so during a pandemic, when we first arrive.

This is the first and last time we will ever rent with Elliot beach rentals and will make sure to not recommend to others. We will leave the room cleaner when we leave than when we arrived.
