I could not possibly be any more satisfied with my house buying experience through ERA Wilder of Sumter SC. My agent, Susan Mature, left no stone unturned to ensure I got not only a house I liked, but a one that was in very good shape structurally. Susan has a keen sense of what neighborhoods clients might like to live in, and she is very familiar with her local market. Susan is intelligent, detail oriented and personable, and is very quick to respond to phone calls, emails & texts. While I haven't the experience to recommend ERA Wilder as a whole, I would absolutely recommend agent Susan Mature to any buyer or seller, she is awesome!

ERA Wilder Realty was great to work with! I would recommend, and utilize them again for my future real estate needs.

I was just looking through real estate companies to refer a relative who may be moving this way, and I just wanted to write a review for not just the company, but real estate agent Melissa Richardson, who sold me my home some years back. She was awesome in helping me to search for what I was looking for in a home.

If I could go without giving any stars I would. Our experience with Wilder Properties was less than stellar. First off, we rented a house that in the outside looked great however, there were several blemishes and discrepancies. Totally understandable as it had been rented several times before us. We spent two days cleaning the house since their cleaners did a "great" job.

When it came time to move out, we were charged $300+ in fees from our deposit. Trust me when I say it was in better shape than what we received it as. I STRONGLY recommend nobody rent from this company.

I rented a house from ERA and dealt with Glenda And the house I got the floors were not even and the fridge door would not stay close. And the home owner didn't want to do anything and neither did ERA/Glenda. I have a 30 day notice and Come to find out Glenda sends me an Eviction Notice while I was moving out. Also when I moved in the house wasn't cleaned at all and then they wanted to charge me for cleaning when I scrubbed and shampooed carpets and everything before I left.

I called and called, left voicemails with the higher ups over Glenda and the lady refused to call me back so we could get everything fixed but no still to this day it's still on me. They know they did wrong. They like to take your money and screw everything else especially customer service with their clients.

I could write a novel on how these people do business, Glenda Hawkins, in particular. I will just say, save your time and look elsewhere. They don't care about their properties and are just out to get money from you. Then when money is owed to you, they take their sweet time sending it to you (still haven't received my money). It's been well over 2 months.

Haven't dealt too much with the staff other than Daniela Fox who is currently helping us buy our first home. She is fantastic! Such a great realtor. She can negotiate like you wouldn't believe! She's very informative and on top of things! Very happy with her! Thanks ERA!

We bought a home through ERA and cannot be more grateful to have had such an easy and stress free process thanks to Charlie and Bart. They were quick to answer and questions and ease our minds when we had any concerns.

This review is for ERA's Property Management only. I chose to use ERA Wilder Property Management since I had a great experience when I purchased my home. After 7 years, I decided to sell my property, which revealed how poorly managed my property was. I had several maintenance issues that were never brought to my attention and damage in excess of normal wear and tear.

This cost me thousands of dollars more than what I would have needed to pay to get my home prepared for the market. Tenants were never held accountable and were given their full security deposits throughout the years. ERA (Glenda Hawkins) did not manage my property well at all and I never knew since I was in the military and constantly on the move.

No news is good news is not true in every case. Part of my property was removed without my knowledge or permission and I did not know until pictures were taken to place my home on the market. Then learned that it was removed 2 years prior to me finding out. Supervision did respond to my grievances and compensated me some of the funds I lost, which is the only reason I am giving it 2 stars. Jameika Cunningham and Tina Welton did their best to make sure I was given some sort of compensation and I appreciate their customer service. I would not recommend their property management as long as they keep the same property manager.

While we were there they were ok, definitely not overly helpful or friendly, but we didn't need much so that probably helps. However, beware of when you leave. We spent countless hours cleaning to make sure the place was spotless, and it was. However, they WILL nitpick to find something to charge for, up to and including them waiting til you move to deal with smoke detectors you've complained about, that the repairman has told you that he himself placed a work order for replacement of all because they were all out of date and failing but that the company hadn't approved his order. Couldn't get us for much, but absolutely did pick until they found something. Ridiculous. Renter beware.

Be aware. Should you allow Wilder Property Management to manage property in Sumter there are issues. Their associates and contractors are not responsible for lost or stolen property, even if it is obvious negligence on their part. Should property be stolen after a tennant has vacated, and access is stricktly limited to ERA Wilder associates, nothing will be done to rectify your loss.

We lost over $400 in stolen property, after our tennant vacated. The contracted cleaning crew likely to blame. Real property sales are not perfect either. Our sale was smooth and quick, which I greatly appreciated. Unfortunately you must ensure all the "t"s are crossed in your paperwork, as no one will share losses with you due to errors on their part.

We lost $2,000 in the sale of our home due to a paperwork error, of which several professional parties reviewed multiple times. No other party shared the loss with us, despite the error being theirs. Either the law firm, ERA Wilder, or the purchasing agent was to blame for the error. Total losses under ERA Wilder is $2,442.87.

Had a wonderful first time home buying experience with ERA. My realtor, Leigh McElveen, keep us in touch throughout the entire process, helping us with a few minor home repairs, local service recommendations, and a great in-depth knowledge of the community to ensure I got a home that would work great for my husband and I. Would recommend!

This doesn't extend to the realtors (Charlie Fossett is seriously amazing). This review is specifically in regards to ONLY their rental department. The managers name is Glenda Hawkins and she manages my property for a year. We now have a new property manager. Glenda was very hard to get ahold of and had absolutely no sense of urgency. Because she was so lax at her job, my pregnant renter had to go almost a full week in winter without heat.

After my renters had left she still took a week to clean my house because "her staff isn't available over night". I received pictures after her "cleaning" was complete and the doors clearly hadn't even been wiped down. Also there were a few damaged items and she insisted I give her my new renters names and information so she could go over to the house and finish the repairs (she didn't get done in the set time frame) I told her that is not going to happen and it was completely unprofessional for her to even ask.

I hired the work out myself and got it done. There's no excuse for that type of business. She hardly was ever in touch with me in regards to the house and it's problems. It got to the point where my renters and I stoped talking through her because she never got anything done. So at the end of the day I paid her to do nothing most of the time. If you care about your house and/or renters I highly suggest you look at other alternatives, before using ERA to manage your property.

I've been dealing with ERA Wilder Realty for years. They manage a property I own in Sumter, SC. Glenda Hawkins is my property manager and has been the "BEST" property manager I've had over the past five years. However, the accounting department has been the limiting factor with wrong deposits amounts, incorrect owners statements (when they use to send them out), and now their new website that was suppose to be the fix for this issue is not up to date and I am still getting the wrong amount deposited according to the information they provide me.

If it wasn't for Glenda Hawkins I would have left years ago. I don't expect perfection I expect progression when and if things go wrong. I pay this company to deliver nothing but problems instead of outstanding service and commitment. If you have the chance go with someone else to manage your property. I know I am.

Do not rent from this realty company! The lady who does the rentals never responds to emails. Is hardly ever in the office when you call. Will not return phone calls when someone takes a message. If you need anything fixed in your place, your just out of luck. Walls were not painted, blinds broken, toilet broken, faucet falling apart, everything we wrote down and they still charged to fix all these things, so we didn't receive what was a hefty deposit back!

Another thing is they charge you to pay online, who does that, that would be better for them if someone pays online! Way behind the times here! Military please don't waste your money or time find another company to rent from.
