Services
Foley Real Estate was founded in 1970 and focused primarily on the sale of residential homes. In the years immediately following, condominium by-laws were adopted and ensuing developments took shape on the Cape Cod landscape. At this time, Foley Real Estate expanded into the sale of land and condominiums as well as limited summer, winter and year round rentals.
In the event of a cancellation by the TENANT, monies will be refunded (less the total rental fee due Foley Real Estate) ONLY if the premises can be rebooked for the same rental period and same rental amount; provided, however, that NO MONIES will be refunded if the premises cannot be rebooked; provided, further however, that there are no refunds for cancellations that are less than 30 days prior to arrival.
Purchasing real estate is a complex and major transaction with many details to be handled. Depending on the laws in your state and the business arrangement you have with a licensed real estate agent, that agent may actually be negotiating for the seller, not you the buyer. The best way to be certain that an agent is working in your best interests is by signing a buyer representation agreement with an agent. A real estate buyer's representative represents the buyer who is purchasing property in a real estate transaction.
Real estate transactions involve one of the biggest financial investments most people experience in their lifetime. Transactions today usually exceed $100,000. If you had a $100,000 income tax problem, would you attempt to deal with it without the help of a CPA? If you had a $100,000 legal question, would you deal with it without the help of an attorney?

I had a very unfortunate experience with Foley. After working with an agent for 2+ weeks and finalizing the lease for a rental property, we were told that we were declined due to the fact that we are from New York City, the epicenter of COVID-19. This geography-based discrimination is something we have not experienced in the past, and we were further asked if we had been tested.

The agent said that because the owner himself plans to occupy the property immediately after us, therefore did not want to rent to us; however, if someone else was to rent after us, he would not care about it at all. The agent said that he was to look for other properties for us but we never heard from him again. I understand that in the post pandemic world, there will be new rules and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all. However, this kind of discriminatory conduct and unprofessional communication really reflects poorly on the company. I do not recommend working with Foley.

As previous post had stated, we experienced the same issue with return of security deposit. I have not experienced such a lack of appropriate customer service from a company in my life. The run-around from Foley was truly ridiculous and frankly unprofessional. After 30 days and no security deposit we were told to wait some more as the owners were "overseas". 3 weeks later with multiple attempts at contacting office -- still no check. Unanswered voicemails are to be expected apparently.

Most rental agencies will issue the security deposit back to the renter to avoid disputes between owner and tenant. Believe me, the check for the rent and security deposit that was made out to Foley initially was cashed quickly. It should be Foley's responsibility to chase down the security deposit not the renter. That's what your competitors are doing and making the renting experience smoother for the customer. We plan on renting annually in cape cod - customer lost forever.

Our family has used Foley Real Estate since 2008, not only for purchasing several homes in Mashpee and Falmouth, Cape Cod, but we've also used their services to help us rent out the homes for weekly summer rentals and monthly winter rentals. We can honestly say, we would never have been able to do this venture without their professionalism, experience, and full hands on assistance.

They take the time to understand what it is you want, and then after they find it, they continue to stay by your side and help you realize your investment. They consistently go above and beyond their call of duty to make sure every detail is always taken care of. If you're looking to buy a home in Cape Cod, rent one as a yearly rental, or rent for a summer getaway, we can honestly say you shouldn't trust anyone more than Foley Real Estate.

Just a warning to unsuspecting cape cod renters: Foley Real Estate does not return security deposits. We rented out a house from them in July. a $250 security deposit was given and we were told we would have it back 2 weeks after our rental was up. After 2 weeks it turned into a month. A month is up and no security deposit. To make matters worse the person who answers the phone at Foley was extremely rude and basically said he would not help me. Lastly the place was dirty when we rented.

The contract says they clean it before rentals but that is not true. Bathroom was dirty and so was the kitchen. So to reiterate if you want a clean place to stay and your security deposit returned look elsewhere!
