The girls in the office never answer the phone, or call back after voicemails are left. I've had no ac this year and it's the end of June. My apartment has stayed at over 80 degrees for the past two weeks. They never give a heads up when maintenance is coming, the whole thing is a mess. Worst place I've rented at in 5 years.

Lived in an Innovative property in uptown from 2019-2022. I don't really have any complaints. The caretaker was a really nice and really cared about the building and the tenants who lived there. Any time I had an issue they were very responsive.

We had a mice problem they wouldn't send pest control until the 4th or 5th time we called about it and the lady from the office is very rude and passive aggressive.washing machines never work have been down for past 6 months. They don't respond to maintenance requests just randomly send people out days later. And when you inform them you are moving your apartment must be available to be viewed 5 days a week 9am-9pm which is a huge hassle and they don't notify you when they are coming

Don't expect to have control of the heat in the apartment you pay for. They shut off the heat during the months they aren't legally required to provide heat. You also have to provide your own A/C. There was also a mouse infestation in our apartment when we moved in that we are just now getting rid of.

I wouldn't recommend working with these guys. My apartment was dirty when i moved in, repairs i emailed in when i moved in were never fixed, and good luck with any meaningful communication. It was near impossible to get ahold of them. The only reason I give any stars is because rent is on the affordable side for the metro. Also after moving in and before you turn in your move out notice, they are pretty hands off and don't cause too much of a headache or bother you much. Warning, make sure to double read your leases with them.

After putting in my notice, they had me showing my apartment without 24 hour notice. Be ready to show any time 9am-9pm 7 days a week after you submit your notice. I work from home and it was a headache when I was informed I would need to show my apartment in a few hours. Unnecessary stress while trying to move.

Aquila circle apartments Need new carpet on stairs and common areas. They are very dirty and unsightly. They also need to paint the doors that are deteriorated. This company must invest in maintaining the building because the tenants pay for it. Should maintenance be done and new carpets put in urgently and basement tanks painted or should tenants call the city? I just want to go that it is a good condominium and a good location. we just need maintenance. urgent

I haven't had any major issues with management, the maintenance requests get addressed promptly, every building seems to have its own caretaker on-site(or at least mine does which is extremely helpful) to help with anything building related. I've had a really good experience thus far and it's been almost 2 years now of me renting through them .However, the cons are that the pet fees are outrageous and honestly don't make sense for how old these buildings are. and rent is due by the 2nd(!) which I've never experienced before anywhere else so that sometimes puts you in a bind and it's kind of frustrating honestly. Otherwise, I mean it's a rental company.it's not top-notch but definitely far from the worst in the city!

They recently purchased my apartment complex and it's been nothing but a negative experience with them. They do not care about their tenants. The office staff is incredibly rude and unprofessional. I've lived in this building since 2017 and this will be my last year. The last management company was great and really helpful. It's too bad they sold. If you can help it, do not rent from Innovative Properties.

Maintenance fixes actually happen in a timely manner and office staff is very receptive to feedback. Thanks Innovative Properties, for always hearing my concerns and handling them in an efficient, professional manner.

Went through the entire touring process then went to submit my application and they said that co-signers have to live in MN. This isn't stated anywhere on the website. Why they want to drive away out-of-state residents is beyond me but stay far away from this property management company. The property I toured also smelled like piss and they just barged into someone's apartment for a tour which felt very uncomfortable.

Abby and Daisy are rude, extremely hostile and unfriendly leasing managers. The property I'm renting is just as nasty as their attitudes. They should be more nice to their tenants. Things that have nothing to do with the tenant should be adresses immediately when presented to them. They're unwilling to help unless you do some brown nosing.

They have accused me of things I did not do. Refused services requested and lied and said it was taken care of. My best advice is if a place has you sign a waiver stating they have bugs, rodents and other issues and you cant hold them accountable. RUN! Good if you're desperate otherwise take your time. Theres better places that actually value their residents and properties.

Their plumber stole from us, and the landlord speaks only in threats. Building managers genuinely pay for consumable cleaning materials out-of-pocket AND makes them pay to work there. Walls are paper-thin

I've seen many bad reviews about staff- this has not been my experience! Abby, and others who work with tenant issues have been friendly and helpful during my application process, and my time as a tenant. I feel they're supportive of what I need, and answer my questions with patience. If you're nice, they are too!

I lived at one of Innovative's properties for just over two years. They are a highly professional company that handled every issue I had with grace. I will absolutely consider renting from them, again. Beyond that I had an incredible property manager. He was attentive, accessible and extremely helpful. Overall fantastic, safe and well-maintained experience.

I moved into my apartment right after college and am still here. I love the location and Innovative's repair team is quick and professional. I plan to stay here as long as I live in Minneapolis.

I remember renting from Innovative properties just less than a decade ago when Jeff was there. It did the job. No complaints. Excellent price point and management was nice. The groups of people living in their unit is a progressive group. I would rent from them again and recommend Innovative properties to friends and family.

Stay far away from any property managed by this company! They ruined years of my life by saying I ruined a carpet and charged me for the entire carpet upon move out along with a bunch of other miscellaneous cleaning things like grease(?) which I barely cooked. This was 10 years ago and it really impacted me for at least 7 years because they said i owed them thousands of dollars.

Not only that, go to their office off Cedar and talk to them. They are not nice people! You can take my word for it, DO NOT do business with them they do not care about their tenants.

What a horrible property management company. They are very eager to take your money, sign a lease and move you in. Once that is complete, the level of service is on par for what a person would receive in a third world country. The office lady is very rude and treats even the best of tenants with disregard and poor customer service. If you ask for a call back about something, you are wasting your breathe cuz she will never call you back.

The care takers are just that. Caretakers. They have no power and do a horrible job at up keep. Cobwebs will never be removed from the walls and water stains are all over the walls, floors and ceilings. Black Mold was present in my apartment and it only took them 5 weeks to come repair the damage and that is after I called the city of Minneapolis too. Bugs - get use to living with roaches and bed bugs!

Or get yourself a sprayer and good bug chemicals and do it yourself! The repair crew shows no respect for your property. They come in, move furinture and don't bother to put things back and leave the parts/packaging and replaced items on the floor for you to clean up. Oh and they LOVE to do surprise water leak inspections! If someone throws furniture by a dumpster, better get use to it staying there for weeks/months until someone at the office decides to do something about it - AKA call the trash company to pick it up. Problems with the apartment I lived in - ceilings not repaired after a water leak, a water leak that required roof repair, holes in the closet doors, rust stains in the tub, toilet that needed to be replaced, cheap paint on the walls, filthy walls and carpets in common areas, dirty and drug selling neighbors in the building, everything they replace is so cheap it is sad.

Overall theme - if you like living in section 8 apartments and dealing with a property management company that has NO PRIDE in their business or buildings, then this is the place for you!

I don't understand why only angry people leave ratings. I was in love with my apartment. Everything about it. The location, the price, the on-site landlord, Danielle, the shoveled walk way every snow day, everything. I lived there for over a year and the only reason why I left my apartment was because I moved to another state and I still miss my apartment.

If I would have seen the reviews for this company I would have never have gone to them for an apartment. Before I even signed a lease or anything I had asked several questions about the property and was told anything but the truth. The building has been extremely loud the secure door is always propped open with sketchy people in and out all the time.

The care taker of the building apparently does not follow the lease rules on noise. The hallways look trashed and not even an ounce clean. Come on what the hell is she getting paid for? When I moved it the toilet was busted and leaking. The shower did not work, management was quick to fix the next day. I came home that night to find out my bathroom was flooded due to the maintenance not noticing the leaking tub! The apartment was not cleaned. There is people always yelling and can hear music and tvs blaring at all hours of the night. Would never rent here again!

I moved into an apartment that was filthy (grime everywhere, rusted sink and bathtub, clothing left strewn about, toilet seat broken, etc.). It took a while to clean and over a year to have all issues taken care of (there was mold and the handymen sprayed some stuff on it and told me to scrub it off since he didn't want to deal with the smell).

I enjoyed the location and generally things were fine. When I moved out I was charged around $140 for cleaning since it appeared I hadn't wiped down the counters (I had) and there was some dust (on top of the ceiling fan and on the floor, that was fair). The property manager was not there when I left despite giving fair notice, because he ended up having a "crazy day" so I was not warned that the apartment needed further attention.

I understand a cleaning charge but I do not understand cleaning charge of over $140 for sweeping and dusting a studio apartment which I left in much better condition then when I moved in.
