The Apartments are beautiful but it doesn't stand the fact that these people will not help repair the apartment.

The management here is terrible. If you're moving in to an apartment that they own, make sure there is nothing wrong with it before moving in. They take forever to handle maintenance requests and the employees in the office are unhelpful.

MY CAR GOT BROKEN INTO WHEN I WAS NOT HOME. To me, safety is a concern for buildings managed by this company - car broken in and I already changed my door lock for my apartment once after someone tried to open it violently. One star is overrated when it comes to safety. Today is the first day that I submitted a message to get help from the management office. Update after my first call to the management office: talked to one lady in the office, and confirmed that the management office will do NOTHING while the safety becomes a concern for me as a tenant and ask me to file a property loss claim on my own, showing ZERO empathy and later transferred my call to a voicemail of Hannah without letting me finish. I was asked repeatedly and rhetorically: so what would you do then? One Star is again overrated for this experience.

Don't waste your money on renting from this Management. Trust me, even though I truly love this apartment, so many things start breaking down one by one because its not done correctly the first time. Example: shower head is broken and they just wrapped tape around it. Another thing, their washing machine is constantly breaking down. Having a working washing machine is important for me, reason why I decided to get this place BUT the washer has broken down more that 10x in just one year, and they seem hesitant to replace it with a new one. I have never experience this much trouble with previous companies I've rented from so SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.

Front office did not advise me when I picked up the key that there was a approved application on the apartment that I was looking at. Very deceptive. Front office is unprofessional as I went there twice and both times the reception was eating breakfast well after opening hours. Be very careful when applying here. They seem to just want the application fee payment. Super disappointing experience.

If there is negative stars option, I would definitely select it. They are so so so so so unprofessional and the apt was not clean at all when I moved in. I found a roach in the kitchen area when I got into the apartment and many many many flies inside and outside of the apartment. I request to have some one do the cleaning, they sent some one to help me kill the roach. I was like? I need the apartment clean! Like No Roach! I also said the door locker wasn't working well. No One Comes.

Miller & Desatnik has been nothing but professional for us to work with while we were tenants. The renting experience is great. For a cash deposit, you can pick up 5 sets of keys at a time, which is super efficient. They have many properties around west LA, and a lot of them can be very hit or miss. Signing the lease is pretty straightforward. You just have to understand that most people in the physical office are administrative and have no power to actually make decisions- for those you'd have to contact management.

There's no point in giving the office folks a hard time. During our tenancy we ran into multiple issues with other renters in our building. From other people parking in our spots, to super loud parties, to our downstairs neighbors hotboxing and it coming into our unit, you name it. For each of these situations, when brought up to management, they dealt with it quickly and professionally. Scott even personally called me to say our experience was not acceptable and that they had contacted the other units, and whatever they did was effective.

When the occasional repair was needed, you just submit a claim through the website, and they send out a service person in a timely manner, at no additional cost to you. They also give ample notice if something is scheduled that may inconvenience the tenants. Like when our building was due for earthquake retrofitting, they told us months in advance and even offered to pay for us to rent temporary parking spaces.

We recently moved out, cleaned the entire unit, and we received back our full security deposit. I have no complaints and the only reason we are not still with M&D is just because we happened to find a better deal in West LA.

Incredibly incompetent and unresponsive. Approved me for the wrong apartment, which took weeks to sort out because no one answered any emails or voice messages. I finally managed to get a live person on the phone to sort it out, but it took weeks. Apartment is damaged in places that won't show up in photos, like room corners! You have to hound then for basic things like mailbox keys. Online portal is unreliable, you'll end up having to drop off physical rent checks. Front desk person is abrupt and unhelpful. I'm moving as soon as my lease is up.

Where to begin? Miller & Desatnik isn't a place we applied by choice. We applied for an apartment and we later found out it was a low income unit. We got rejected and later found out we could transfer our application to another unit. Miller & Desatnik has a large amount of units. Most of the units are very old, not updated and very dirty. You come to find out about the poor service as you continue to try to work with them.

My partner and I transferred our application to two other units to which we never heard back from them. I personally called them several time and they were not only rude but they hung up on us and they even added that we were confusing because we were interested in two units? Very unprofessional! One day we showed up to office and they threw keys at a person who Works for them fixing up some of their units. Needless to say we are happy we did not get a unit that is theirs and never have to deal with the nightmare this company appears to be. Go else where! We love our new apartment and rave about Emmett Ochs Investments! They are professional and very responsive.

Laundry machines constantly break, elevator was broken for about a year and after that had constant problems. Building manager sends way too many passive aggressive emails, almost 30 emails in March 2020 alone, and every thing was our fault according to him. Building is shabby, walkways have termite damage, pool looks dirty and is not heated and gets very little sun. Chairs and patio furniture at the pool are also very old and dirty.

Maintenance requests take multiple follow ups and then vendors only show up 50% of the time. Every season there is a stink bug infestation. Had to leave this awesome location after living there 8 years because I couldn't take it anymore. To be honest, the building manager Eliot was insufferable and he abuses the building email list to promote himself politically, his business ventures, and he would not shut up about starry internet (apparently they paid him to promote to the tenants).

He even asked us during covid to if we would be interested in having a promotional in person gathering for starry internet. If you live in one of the lofts, prepare to boil in the loft all summer. The air conditioner barely makes a dent even when on full blast. I'd think twice before living here. Tenants hate Eliot and refer to his emails as "screamails." These other reviews don't seem legit, sorry to say. And, don't even get me started in the multiple break ins and theft in the building.

You are guaranteed to have missing packages and your car has a high chance of getting its window smashed. Someone's motorcycle was even stolen. The security in this building is a joke. The only benefit is the building's location relative to downtown culver. Although, with the expo line expansion, traffic on the cross street is jammed up most weekdays during commuting times and street parking is an absolute nightmare.

A while back someone committed suicide in the building and most recently a tenant was walking around the building maskless, pantless, saying that he was fighting the devil. That was the last straw for me. Just saying.

Wow so happy i read these reviews. For anyone new applying be aware this Office is a NIGHTMARE. Really loved one of their apartments that was available but after reading all the reviews it is all true. The front lady working there was demanding rude and impatient with me from the moment i walked in. Scott the "supervisor" is unprofessional, I Had to go to the office 3 times just to communicate with the guy, At first he Did not respond to email because he claims he has hundreds to go through everyday. when i went there and asked why is there lack of communication he said "i just got back from vacation i need time" i guess in his mind its always vacation mode.

I Went to go pick up my application and deposit and then they had me wait for 15 minutes. I am so happy i decided to read the reviews and stayed away from this leasing company!

I'll start this off by saying I'm so sad I had to move out, but it had to be done. Thankfully, one of my friends was able to apply and was approved for my place, so I'll definitely be back around to use the pool (pending on how things are with this whole pandemic situation). There were lots of perks which include the aforementioned pool, a parking garage, a decently sized garage storage unit, very quiet and peaceful complex, friendly neighbors, a location walkable to downtown Culver (with good food, drinks, and the ever so loved Trader Joe's), and lastly, a rare perk. a helpful building manager. He's very attentive to the community within the complex as well as outside the complex, which proved to be a great source of unique information.

He was very responsive to any questions you might have and would also help with any work order requests if needed. Which another convenience that I liked with the building, is that the management company utilizes an online portal for work order submissions and to also manage any auto-payments, etc. My only comments would be that parking for guests can be a bit tricky, but welcome to LA!

And the washing machines & driers only take quarters, which I think they are on the cusp of updating so that'd be good. Otherwise, it was a beloved place of mine and wish I could've stayed longer.

I have only lived here for a year but I wish I had found this place years earlier. I had a very spacious loft with loads of storage space. This is a great, fun and highly social apartment community with a fantastic building manager. The building is nested 5 walking minutes to downtown Culver City. If they had 3 bedroom apartments, me and my new family would have stayed there for many more years.

My wife and I lived in this building for nearly 11 years and I can say beyond all shadow of doubt that it was the greatest apartment living experience of my entire adult life. Been through plenty of buildings over the 21 years I've lived in Los Angeles, plenty of buildings and plenty of managers. This was by far the best one. Eliot is a great manager and he makes sure that everyone is getting the best service. You will love living here!

I recently moved out after living in this building for 2 years. It was a definitely great experience. Eliot - the building manager - was very responsive and all of my maintenance requests were addressed within 1-2 weeks. My apartment was very nice and spacious. Overall, great place at a great price.

This apartment is great! It has a great location and the room that we stayed in was very spacious loft. Eliot was a very helpful manager, and any maintenance issues we had in our apartment were taken care of very promptly. Would definitely recommend to anybody looking for somewhere to live in the Culver area!

When I first moved to LA, I viewed maybe 20 studios & 1-bedrooms before finding this building. I love the gated parking. And unit-by-unit, I notice they've been updating the place. The location is great. Its easily walkable to shops, nightlife, the metro, farmer's market, movie theater, and food in downtown Culver. May I suggest the breakfast burritos at Cerveteca.

Plenty of street parking during the day; guests have to hunt at night. But a pretty quiet neighborhood. And the building manager Eliot is great about prompt responses, and follow-ups on maintenance issues.

Overall, a great experience there. Elliot, the on-site manager, was quick to fix any problems in the apartment and was always available. The neighborhood is pretty quiet, especially inside the complex. The location near downtown curler city makes it walking distance to all of the restaurants and bars. I lived here for a year before moving because of work, but definitely a great find in culver city!

I loved living at watseka (that was the nickname for my apartment). I lived at the 3rd floor in a very nice loft apartment. It was so spacious that I had a pool table instead on dining table. A quite neighborhood and walking distant from culver city downtown, farmer's market, movie theater, restaurants, supermarkets, etc. Swimming pool at the premises was an awesome feature of Watseka.

There was no space for bicycle storage but the balcony offset that inconvenience. The only reason I moved from watseka was because my bedroom was in the 2nd level of the loft and my wife was pregnant. As you can imagine going up and down from bed to bathroom in the 1st level during pregnancy was not fun for her.

I loved living here. I get asked to do reviews for people and I generally ignore them, but Elliot (an awesome building manager) sent me a note asking me to share my thoughts. My pleasure! I came to this building after a lot of changes in my life. I needed a quiet, friendly, safe place near the awesome Culver Center - a 5 minute walk to movies, great restaurants, etc.

Everything about this building was absolutely perfect. People were so sweet when I got there. Just by being a tiny bit friendly, I was able to meet people in the building right away. I felt safe and at home within a day. My apartment was on the upper level facing out to Watseka. It was well appointed with lots of new appliances, although I visited a few of the places that had some older appliances and walls - and just like my place - were clean, bright, great air flow etc.

These apartments are terrific in every way. The street is EXTREMELY quiet. What a gift to have the Hari Krishna temple down the street. Some folks in the neighborhood are the people that attend this temple and they are the most loving, wonderful people. You can see some of them walking on the street once in a while chanting and praying - which brings a great deal of goodness and peace and love to the area.

Plus they have a yummy vegetarian public cafe which is super cheap and delicious. $4 for a plate full of goodness! I loved living at 3708. Elliot was awesome, the people in the main management office were wonderful and it was a great time in my life. I actually MISS IT! Ooh, and when I moved in, I had questions about how things worked and the stove needed an adjustment - the guys were at my place within 45 minutes to make sure everything was okay. That was icing on the cake! Thanks Elliot and thanks awesome folks who run this place I highly recommend it!
