Worst building I've ever lived in and worst management company I've ever dealt with. Heat went off completely three times this past winter, during a weekend so it wasn't fixed for over 24 hours each time. Issues with pipes, appliances, hot water, cockroaches. They leave the trash open in the lobby. They actually lied to me during my move-out princess, and then gave me attitude when I caught them in a lie.

While they thought I was on vacation, an agent tried to show my apartment without telling me ahead of time. Just look at how dismissive they are about other reviews. It doesn't matter that they are a brokerage, they represent the landlord and are largely unprofessional even in their direct business practices.

Slumlords that ruined Orchard Street. Sleazy. Avoid at all costs. You'll never get last or security deposit back. They never respond to complaints. The whole neighborhood is so over these sleaze balls.

Disgusting team. Neglected my rat problem, told us we didn't have rodents after my roommate and I had been suspecting it. Came in to check, told us we were fine. A few days later, rats ate my pet alive. Called and emailed immediately after to get them to take care of the rat problem considering it is NY law, they again neglected my calls and outreach until I got NY Housing Preservation and Development involved.

After I went in person, the property manager basically laughed in my face and spoke to me in the most condescending and misogynistic tone and even told me: "I'm not gonna stand here and get yelled at by a woman". Mind you, back home in my apartment I couldn't even get an hour of sleep without finding a rat crawling over my body. Rats ate through our food, furniture, and due to their neglect and incapability to respond to our several messages and calls, we had to hire a private rat extermination team on our own.

This is a complete violation of housing and tenant rights. Needless to say, they didn't cover all of the expenses their OWN neglect cost us. A deceiving, lying, disgusting team of people. If you want to sign a lease with people who don't give a care in the world about your health, wellbeing, or basic rights as a tenant, sign with Misrahi Realty!

Below I'm attaching a photo of 1/4 of the rats we had to catch in our own apartment, without the help of Misrahi team and during the time they refused to answer our complaints.

Simi Kadree is a trusted agent who's extremely reliable and easy to contact. Because of my hectic work schedule, I was only able to view an apartments late in the evening, & not only was she flexible but she also gave me options and made me feel comfortable in my search for a new place. I'd highly recommend!

Working with Erin was a great experience. She was so helpful and responsive. The entire process of viewing apartments, selecting the right one, and the lease signing went very smoothly. Highly recommend working with her!

The customer service at Misrahi is appalling. The company refused to return my security deposit after months of my departure, no one is responsive to emails or calls, and everyone in the office is simply rude. I had to involve a lawyer in order to receive my check. From a business perspective, the employees have a terrible attitude and the company has a LOT of work to do to improve. I highly do NOT recommend.

Noah was the best broker! Showed us many apartments and talked over our options with us for as long as we wanted. We are inexperienced as this was our first New York apartment and he explained everything perfectly for us. Thanks noah :

Had a great experience working with Noah at Misrahi! He was always available to answer our endless questions and we trusted him to only show us apartments that appropriately fit our needs.

So I was cut short on time and needed to find a place quickly. I found one of Misrahi's brokers on street easy. His name was Pawel. He had several places to show me that were all within 300ft of each other. He got a sense of what my budget and needs were and got me the most amazing place in the lower east side. I definitely recommend Pawel to anyone looking for a helpful broker. I didn't have to pay a broker fee and he even helped me get the price down to my budget. From, Michael

Noah Neacsu was an incredibly helpful agent. He listened to what we thought we were looking for and offered to help us find those kinds of apartments, but also recommended showing us an apartment he had in mind. It turned out to be the perfect apartment in an even better area then we were looking in and for the best price possible. He is very responsive, honest, and reliable. Noah made the first apartment rental in NYC a breeze. I cannot speak for the other Misrahi agents, but Noah Neacsu is a great choice.

Replied to 2 of my 21 emails citing issues with my apartment. Would not return my full security deposit despite 7 emails requesting an explanation. Look forward to seeing them in small claims court. Adrian was highly unprofessional.

Shyster scumbags. Lying thieving animals. Not interested in clients. Only interested in robbing you. They will get you a terrible deal and take their money and run. They will harass you on the phone and tell you lies.

Misrahi realty exceeded my expectations and really went all out to find me an apartment in the LES. Specifically Joe safdie, he did not stop until he saw I was happy. Joe is an amazing broker and I would definitely recommend him. I've worked with a lot of brokers in the city and can say he was the best one yet. I just want to personally thank him for helping me and answering the phone 24/7! he made it his priority to get me a great deal and I really appreciate that.

Joe Safdie was simply amazing. He was patient and kind during my apartment search and showed me a variety of lovely places in my budget over a two-month period. He was courteous, friendly, and totally transparent, and I did not have to sign anything to look at places with him, which was also a huge plus for me. I regret that I didn't end up renting a place through Joe, as I ended up in a different neighborhood.

But if you are looking to live in LES or East Village, Joe should be the first person you call. He's an awesome person and a wonderful agent. I had an incredible experience working with him and I am sure you will too.

I've dealt with many real estate brokers in the past, working with Raymond Gani was my best experience by far. While many brokers put pressure to get me to settle for less than what I was looking for, Raymond went out of his way to find me a place that made me happy. I wanted to be in downtown Manhattan and i wasn't sure at first which neighborhood i wanted to live in. Raymond has extensive knowledge of downtown Manhattan and really helped me break down each area.

We ended up going with the LES ( which is amazing! ). Misrahi Realty has multiple buildings in the area and It was very convenient that they are close by to each other. Raymond showed me apartments in all price ranges within my budget. He explained to me all the pros and cons of each listing and was a HUGE help in making my decision. Once i decided on an apartment, Raymond helped me gather all my paperwork.

Approval was same day, which is great since you aren't biting your nails waiting for an answer. We did the Lease signing a couple of days later and now i have moved in to my brand new apartment. I highly recommend anyone looking for an apartment to go with Raymond Gani. He made my apartment search stress free and it was a joy to work with him.

Lorence at Misrahi is the best. He found me a STEAL of a proper one bedroom in Williamsburg! Old school price points! He's a super chill dude/very good vibes. Go work with him, you won't regret it.

(A review for Pawel Trocha, employee of Misrahi as of 2/2/15) I'm not a fan of the concept of broker's fees in NYC. I think it should be regulated and policed, if not made illegal in some fashion for a myriad of reasons. That said, in the chaos of NYC apartment hunting, Pawel Trocha of Misrahi Realty Co was awesome and would have merited any fee.

He worked with me to find what I was looking for and even found me numerous apartments where the fee was paid by the property owner (as it should be, in my opinion) and not me. Ultimately I found something else on my own, but Pawel was helpful, honest and classy up until the end.

Sorry this team is impossible. Treats you like a credit criminal. Needed endless info and money. I requested a copy of the lease agreement and never received. I have apartments on Wooster and Broadway yet until able to secure an agreement for a tiny place to be used part time. Waste of time and energy. Look elsewhere if you are busy and successful.

I couldnt believe how stressful this experience was. First of all, they listed our apartment at $3,900 and then after we had already committed and paid them a security deposit- they tell us that the landlord actually wants $4,000 for it. We were able to meet halfway just because we didnt want to lose all of the money we already invested. When my first roommate moved in the entire apartment smelled of cigarette smoke and there were ashes and butts on the floor left by misrahi brokers who (after we already signed for the apartment) went there to do god knows what. We signed for the apartment and I'm thankful for that but I don't think I would use them again.

Jack Menahi was a great help when I had to find a two bedroom apt. all by myself during finals week while my roommate was away. He was patient and understanding of my time limit. Definitely recommend Misrahi Realty for anyone in need of an apt. in the downtown area.

My girlfriend and I just signed a lease with Joe Safdie of Misrahi and he could not have been more helpful. Though we've lived in NYC 6 months, it was under a sublease and had never gone through the renting process here--Joe made it very simple and helped us out a lot. He even FaceTimed with us to make sure we signed the lease in all of the right places.

The apartment is beautiful and we are so excited to be its first residents. We would definitely recommend working with Joe and Misrahi if you're looking for a new place in NYC.

Ughhhh. These guys are a great example of the monsters that run most real estate in New York. Their apartments are cruddy, overpriced, and have a lot of problems. The apartments we were shown were tiny studios the size of a suburban kitchen, in horrible condition, in sketchy buildings that stank of mold, with lots of weird exposed pipes and water heaters.

One even had a toilet in the "bedroom" and the shower in the kitchen. One of the apartments had no fridge, and we were told we'd have to buy our own. Several of the apartments had broken fans, sinks, etc and we were told we'd have to fix them ourselves. Meanwhile, the realtor was telling us that these apartments were some of the best he'd ever seen, in all his years as a realtor.

And our price range was not that low! Misrahi is a really miserable company. If you're looking with big realty corps, I'd suggest sticking with Ardor or looking for by-owner rentals in the LES.

I've lived in a property managed by Brownstone (which is a subsidiary of Misrahi) for a year and a half. In that time, I have not seen any tenants stay for the second year lease. I only stayed because it was a hectic time in my life and I did not have time to find another place. I regret this decision. While Brownstone is better at addressing concerns than others - they do cut rate work, hiring contractors who neither understand you and who fail to clean up after themselves.

The maintenance is subpar - and the building is only fixed when emergencies occur. For instance, we had leaking pipes that were not fixed until there was a waterfall in the hallway. Plus, we have a huge cockroach issue. I never leave dishes in the sink or food out period. We found about 20 cockroaches in our trashcan last night. Brownstone offers a once-a-month exterminating service, but you have to sign up using a phantom sign-up sheet and must take a day off in order to be present when the exterminator comes to the building.

In other words, they don't make it very convenient for you or your neighbors to maintain a cleanly place to live. The building is only cleaned when perspective clients come to see the place. Otherwise, expect dead roach carcasses and fetid smells while walking to your apartment.

I only give them such a good review only on the behalf of Bill. I have lived in my apartment for 3 years, and have completely HATED these people. They have been rude since i wrote my first (healthy) rent and broker's fee checks. I was sold a dream, only to find that my apartment had soooooo many problems, with little help. The worst has been moving out, and the JERK people that call you during the day and expect you to take time off work so that they can show your apartment to more poor souls that should never move there anyway.

The ONLY saving grace for this place has been their realtor Bill. He was flexible from the beginning, and has kept in constant contact, respecting my privacy and space. He was never unkind and always understanding of my situation and work schedule. I have to say that if you decide to work with these people, he will surely give you something you are looking for and make sure that you are happy with it. thank you Bill! and GOOD RIDDANCE Misrahi.

Amalia just showed me a no fee apartment--she was timely and pleasant. Tomorrow I give them $60 for a credit check (a bit excessive) and a rent check they swear they won't cash untill I sign the lease. I don't trust brokers as far as I can throw em. Stay tuned to see if they try and dick me over. Update: I changed my mind and didn't take the apartment.

My dealings with this company were acceptable, but I still don't trust brokers. If you need an apartment camp out on the 'apartments by owner section of craigslist. Be patient and have your docs ready and you will find something without interacting with brokers.
