They have been harassing my mommy and trying to make her pay extra fees for no reason. Today they did it again and whenever my mom called them out they had to remove fee. No more then 20 minutes later they tried to terminate her lease which was already up in September of 2019. Then they made an excuse saying the owners are selling the house. This is discrimination and harrassment. My mommy pays her rent all the time and now my 3 sissys and mom and I have to find somewhere to live by Sept 30th in a pandemic. This was not nice. Do not rent from them

Re/Max Leasing (operated out of the same building by the same owners as the Realtors) is slow to respond to inquiries by owners or tenants (have been both). During our tenancy with one of their properties we had to wait almost a month in the middle of the summer with no A/C because they said they could not get hold of the property owners for an emergency fix to the system - unacceptable!

When trying to contact them to obtain copies of our property management paperwork, repeated calls get "the person you need to talk to is out of the office" or no response at all. Business practices are deceptive and unethical. They will stall you on doing business to keep you locked in with them as long as possible, months after you want to and should be able to terminate your agreements with them. Avoid if at all possible.

Honestly if I could give this place a 0 I would. They waited two months to give me any correspondence after we moved out of the house we were renting. After I finally received any type of communication it was in the form of a letter. saying that we owed them $2000 in charges for the front/back yard to be reseeded and sprayed because WE let weeds grow.

That is ridiculous. We had to spray almost monthly and mowed twice a month. On top of that we had the carpets professionally cleaned, like you normally would when you leave a rental, and a service come in to mow and spray the yard to make sure it was good to go and sent them receipts. Bottom line they don't care, they're in it for money. Even if there's a property you're dying to rent from them don't do it.

Oh and the military clause they "support." Good luck. Incredibly unsatisfied and upset with how they are towards renters. I don't even write reviews normally but if this helps even one person not rent from them then I guess it worked out. - Unhappy Renter

They're good to you while you live in the rental property. Upon move out, though, they definitely take advantage. Had a year lease with them and had no issues. They were pretty prompt with repairs. However, upon move out the garage door that worked for the entire year I lived at the unit suddenly had to be entirely replaced and they kept my entire deposit.

In response to the grievance letter I sent, they just sent a receipt without explaining why it suddenly didn't work and needed to be replaced after I moved out. Little too convenient for them. They know it's too expensive for people to take them to small claims court and take advantage. Wished I had listened to previous reviews. Wouldn't have spent two days cleaning the entire apartment if they were still going to find a way to hold onto the deposit.

MILITARY FAMILY- DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. ESPECIALLY OTHER MILITARY FAMILIES. Honestly wish I was able to leave zero stars. My family was treated terribly by this company. We moved into a house with them in December 2017. Our refrigerator did not work when we got there on a Friday afternoon. We immediately called the office and were told to put in a maintenance request to have it fixed the following week.

We had bags of groceries that we had to trash and when my husband called to ask if there was anything they could do sooner, we were told we should have checked the appliances when we walked through, which implies a walk through was done with management, and it was not. Fast forward 6 months later when we were having maintenance come out weekly to fix our plumbing, and my husband asked for the owner of the leasing company to stop by to have a word.

My husband told him about our experience moving in and how the office staff has been rude to us. The owner's exact words were "I will fire her for you and then she can live on the streets with her family. Is that what you want me to do?!" Completely manipulative and rude. He cut my husband off from talking and walked out the door. We moved into a second house with them because our time in Clovis was short, they were selling our first house, and we had no where to go.

So we stuck with first place even after that experience. After giving them notice that we had orders to another base, they had agreed to let us out of our lease early on the condition that they show the house with 24 hours notice. One afternoon I was changing my daughter in her bedroom, while in pajamas, and someone knocked on the door. I couldn't get to it bc I was tending to my baby.

Not a minute later, I hear someone unlocking and opening the door. It was one of the office staff members SHOWING THE HOUSE WITH NO NOTICE. She kicked our things out of her way in the living room to walk the couple through. Said "don't mind the mess" and helped herself in. She let the couple into every room without her assistance and left without saying much to me.

She did not apologize before leaving. Then multiple times she scheduled to show the house and never showed up or texted us letting us know. Upon moving out, we professionally cleaned the carpets, scrubbed the house top to bottom, did all the landscape. & were only given $91 back of our $500 deposit. We were charged for light bulbs that we did not replace, even though hardly any bulbs were working when we got there.

We were charged for nails in the walls even though we have records stating when we moved in that there were holes and stickers all over every wall in the home. the lease did not state a professional cleaner had to be hired before leaving, therefore we detail cleaned ourselves. Much better than how we moved into the home. The place is ran by extremely money hungry unprofessional manipulators, and I can not stress enough how much you do not want to live under these people and expose your family to their business.

They charge extra cleaning fees and keep security deposits even if the rent house is left spotless, and they will not supply an itemized list of what was supposedly left undone to justify keeping the deposits. They would not do a walk-through of the house with me when when I moved out, even when I specifically requested one. Do not rent from this company, they will try to scam you out of your deposits.

I never in my life have dealt with someone as rude as the front desk lady and staff. It is also hard to keep in contact with company. Business practices are very shady as other reveiws have pointed out. They do not allow tenant-landlord contact. They do not care how the company is run since they will always have business because they are one of two main property management companies in clovis which is why they price gouge/ keep deposits/ have terrible customer service. Homes stay vacant for months on end because of their unreal application terms, which forces owners to pay out of pocket monthly. BEFORE YOU PAY THE RIDICULOUS FEE TO APPLY MAKE SURE YOU READ THEIR APPLICATION TERMS.

They also won't hesitate to lie to you. BEWARE. I would not use this company to manage my properties or rent from this company. Please search for private parties to rent from or use sagebrush or another company to manage your property if you don't want it to remain vacant and be lied to.

No Military or Airman or Civilian Personal This company in Clovis NM is not worth the trouble, please rent from someone else. Rented from them, and have move out of the 23 of April 2019 and still have not receive my deposit and today is June 15 2019. The owner do not care and the manager is very much the same. This is not the first time, and I would not want you to be next.

I talk to lawyer and i will receive my money, but I have to take them to court. I am also putting them on the base black ball listing. I will make sure there business off limit to all military personal. And I will check on if Airman is letting them handle there houses when they leave.

This review is from a property owner/military member. When we found out we were leaving Cannon AFB we weren't prepared to sell, so we searched for a property management company to rent out our home. First Place Leasing said that they are extremely military friendly and that they would send us constant updates on the condition of our home. They even said that they would do a regular drive-by of the house and send us photos frequently.

Once we signed the papers and moved away it became extremely hard to get in contact with this company. Whenever we did finally get a hold of the property manger, Wes, he was extremely rude and short with us. We have never had such a bad experience with a company and we would strongly suggest finding another option if you're thinking about using this company to manage your property. They seem great in person, but in reality they are very unprofessional and untrustworthy.
