I live next to one of their properties. They're horrible from an exterior maintenance standpoint. Months after notification of needed repairs, still no repairs. If you own a rental run from these people. They lie through there teeth

When i applied for a house with central ac i was approved only to find out the ac unit was broke and the landlord said he didnt want to put any money in to fixing it. Said i could buy ac and install myself.

Zero stars. Scheduled a showing this morning @ 10am with Michelle. Michelle did not show up, no call, no text, no email. Non existent customer service. Very sad that a business runs this way.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would, nothing but BIG LIARS. Logan tells me" that the house I wanted to look at will not be ready for viewing until April 20, 2022 and that only myself and another family had applied for it". The family that was in it asked that they not show it until they moved out on the 20th, yesterday 21st they call to tell me that the house is already rented.

So the other family viewed and and got approved all in one day, when Logan clearly told me it takes 3-4 days for the application process to be completed. This is the third time they canceled or came up with an excuse not to show me a house. Please do not waste your time and money with these people. RUN AND RUN FAST!

I don't think they actually reach out to the owners of these homes I think they turn you down themselves because I applied to two different homes and got denied for both they said the owner went with a different applicant but meanwhile the homes I applied to are still available on their website, I wasted my money

We love the home we are living in! They accommodated our needs by allowing us to move in a few days early and Karen, who helped us find the home we are currently renting, was fantastic.

I have been looking for a home from this company ever since April. I believe I was being discriminated against because when I finally found one, they said it was already rented out! But I, personally; went by the property to check it out and it wasn't rented out. Run! These people are frauds! They just want application fees. They will lie to you and say a property has been rented out and it hasn't. Don't mess with theses people. They still haven't called me about any property I've applied for and this has been since April.

This was an awful experience from start to finish. Their website is not up to date. They bait you with properties that aren't available so you will pay to apply. The reality is they don't have much to offer. Karen and Tiarra told me it would take 3-4 business days, then changed it to a week, then never called me back. Logan told me he would call back, never did. Don't apply! That's what their business really is, get people to apply for properties that aren't even available. Shame

Would give 0 stars if I could, have never left a review in my entire life but they made this so bad I had to do my first: I found my ideal apartment that had everything I was looking for.saw the reviews of Rent a Home and was worried, but decided to pursue the place anyways, thinking "how bad can they be?"It was hell from the start. you'll find yourself dialing random extension numbers when you call just to get in contact with someone, ANYONE!

They don't answer the phone or call you back unless they need money or need more time. They grant me the courtesy of 2 DAYS prior to my move-in date with a TEXT MESSAGE that my date would need to be pushed back a week later, after arranging utilities, taking time off work, etc. then the following week after rearranging EVERYTHING, they did it AGAIN!

I ended up terminating the lease for my ideal location just because I did not want to deal with this "company". Rent a home made an experience that was supposed to be exciting for me an absolute nightmare. I am overall extremely discouraged.

I have been renting this house that I am currently living in for 3 years now. The rental company I had previously signed my lease with was AMAZING. Never had any issues whatsoever with them. Then, about 11 months ago the rental company was switched to Rent a Home of the Triad. This is when my problems started. About 6 months ago I noticed black mold coming out of outlets, light fixtures, walls, and door hinges.

I contacted them for a maintenance request, which went unanswered. Then the owner of the property (not RAH) came by and literally scrubbed the black mold off of the spots it could be seen and left. I recently called again about the black mold because at this point it is affecting me and my very small children's health, and was told that they had a maintenance request in and pending. STILL AFTER 6 MONTHS. Now, the mold has progressively gotten worse.

It's inside the walls, and damaging the Sheetrock. During this phone conversation while I am asking about what they plan to do about this black mold that is taking over this house, she asks me when she can set up a time to have an agent come out to make sure it's move-in ready before I move out in 2 weeks. AFTER WE JUST HAD THIS BLACK MOLD CONVERSATION.

Of course the house isn't move-in ready, it's a health and safety violation. Now a few months ago I paid for my own mold testing since they cannot seem to find enough care in the world about other people's health, and of course, there is black mold. I am so worried that after I move out some poor unsuspecting person will move-in to this house unaware of how bad this mold is and how detrimental it is to their health because of how Rent a Home only cares about their money and nothing else.

This house needs to be condemned. I am planning to contact the city inspector about this because it is illegally and morally WRONG. I have documented everything about this catastrophe situation including me and my children's declining health and am preparing to take action. Shame on you Rent a Home of the Triad. ALSO, I am unable to leave a review on Facebook. If that doesn't say shady I'm not sure what does.

I don't normally do reviews, but beware of doing business with Rent-A-Home. What's sad is that I didn't even have to be a tenant in one of their properties to know this. The lady who was showing the property I was interested in seemed like she didn't know what was going on and seemed really flustered. She said water was included with the rent when the listing had shown there was no water included.

She promised to get back with me and she never did. I followed up with the office about it and they seemed like they weren't sure either? They'd promise to follow up again, but didn't; Again I had to call. I even gave them a whole day after my call to get back to me. I applied for the property which took more than the 3-4 business days I had been told and got turned down.

It turns out after my denial, the owner didn't want pets, and I'm pretty sure this is why I didn't get approved, but THIS WAS NOT ON THE ORIGINAL LISTING! It said pets were allowed?! The listing was updated immediately to reflect no pets after my phone call! Had I known this upfront, I won't have applied and wasted $100 on app fees for my husband and I.

They told me they'd keep our apps on file for 60 days if we were interested in another property. Nope, we're not. After seeing the lack of responsiveness and basically getting hustled for $100, I could see I dodged a bullet and 12 months of headache. When professional etiquette and honesty are lacking up front, you have to trust your gut and walk away.

In the space im staying in, the upstairs unit has recently become available and there has been someone I assume was sent by the manager to fix the place up or something. However, every time he comes, he stomps up the stairs and moves around the space very loudly.in the MORNING. It's been extremely annoying and today (April 3rd) there's a lady loudly talking up there as well. It's obvious people live down here, the least u could do is be considerate.

They were good in the beginning but became unresponsive. The staff was unresponsive to some maintenance requests. We had a serious leak behind the wall that turned into a mold situation. They didn't do anything to fix it. We had to move. Glad we received our full security deposit back but they made life difficult for a while. Glad my business with RAH is done.

You absolutely don't want to have the misfortune of living next to one their properties. They are lame in attention to the exteriors of the home. I contacted them three times in the last three months and never received a response from them other than acknowledging that they are the management company of the home. Garage of rental still looks like hell as of today.

The renter may not be aware of it's condition since it does not face her house it faces mine. That have not responded to any of my request to date. Run like ya stole something from these people. Incompetence at it's finest!

Lived at property on Fuller St. DO NOT RENT FROM RENT A HOME To start, they put a $1000.00 charge on my account for a dog and an unauthorized occupant, neither of which existed, and then argued with me over it on the phone. Illegal mailbox sharing, shared kitchens are a nightmare, and when it was completely iced over (in Dec. 2018) they refused to salt the driveway, or to reimburse me for the salt if I got it myself.

They put lockboxes over the thermostats, and it was 90 degrees in my apt. When I called, they didn't answer until the third try, then told me they would put in a work order. When I finally got in the work order, they argued with me about the logistics of the thermostat, which were facts, not negotiable quantities. Hornet's nests all over the property, no cleanup, maintenance was sub-par. Decrepit wooden balconies. Terrible management, evictions common, but mostly because of management. DO NOT RENT

Rented from this company for less than a year. Because of that (and perhaps because I didn't do my due diligence), I was susceptible to a 30-day notice-to-vacate that was as unexpected as it was unwanted. I feel like you have to be nice to them for them to have good customer service with you. If they sense you are demanding, they will make your life harder.

When we first moved in, everything was really nice. I don't know if that is because that is when they are most legally vulnerable or what, but every maintenance request was done promptly. After that, it progressively got slower and harder to get anything fixed. Mind you that we were just trying to keep the place tidy and up to date. We had a bad experience in this term with a broken water heater and their customer service didn't excel at all there either.

The maintenance people where rude and presumptuous that it was somehow our fault that the water heater in this unit was too old and needed to be replaced a while back as it was assessed by Disaster One. So, I wouldn't keep my hopes up that they are going to step up any time soon. Wouldn't recommend you doing business with them. Just look at all the bad reviews everywhere and buyer beware!

And also all the bad reviews they had on fb, they erased them. They are now missing! Either deleted or hid! Like i say, unprofessional! Nothing but trouble. When I first looked at the residence I am staying in now, I was misled by information. But in such a rush to find another place I signed the lease anyway. Too many people saying what to do all at one time it's confusing on who to believe.

If the actual owners knew how they were treating their tenants, I think that they would second-guess. Some workers are Unprofessional, unreliable, and rude. Beautiful property. Horrible company. The negligence of the company, will cost you a great amount of money.

Poor customer service. Rude and disrespectful. If you have any choice on on who to have manage your property or who to rent through, I highly recommend to look elsewhere. I have worked, on both sides of the issue, with many companies, this is by far the worst. Run, very fast, the other way.

Rent-A-Home of the Triad did their best to take financial advantage of 3 young adults. After signing a lease to rent a home in Greensboro and putting down a deposit (amount in writing from Rent-A-Home) the young adults went to pick up keys and were told they had to pay an additional months rent before they would release keys. Although not in writing, this is their policy.and too boot the additional fees were their commission!

After adults got involved, Rent-A-Home suggested that the adults were "pains in the ass" to work with and said they wanted to give everyone a full refund and did not want to hassle! Watch out for this company who takes advantage of people due to their own mistakes. BIG FAT ZERO!

I rented from Rent-A-Home for over 4 years. I liked the owner of the home and was pretty much left alone like I like. The trouble came when I put in my notice that I was going to move out. I submitted the needed forms to them and advised I would actually be out before the required 30 days. Leaving on the 3rd- lease until the 11th. Immediately they listed the house and started showing it.

They had no concern if any of the showings were inconvenient to me and would be really rude if I said that a time would not work. It was extremely stressful to have strangers paraded through your house when you're trying to pack and get ready to move. You would think that they could show the house once they've refreshed it with fresh paint, and sprucing up the normal wear and tear - but no.

They actually don't do any sprucing. When I moved in, the house hadn't even been cleaned. Finally, I moved me and all my stuff out on the 3rd. Immediately, they started calling me harassing me for the keys and told me they would charge me until I returned them. I explained that I was already paid until the 11th and should have until that time to send the keys back to them.

The harassment continued until they realized I was right. I HAD indeed paid until the 11th, so finally they stopped calling to demand the keys. Renting from this company is alright, but the way they handle the tenants when they move out is ridiculous. I was there for 4 years and paid my rent on time every single month. They treated me like they were evicting me after I put my notice in. This is NOT the way to do business. Would not recommend.

The agents that show the houses are totally un-professional. Count on them being late at every viewing or not showing up at all without the courtesy of a phone call. After we drove 3 hours from another state to be on time, the agent (who was 40 minutes late) could not even open the combination lock. Then she said, "well, I don't know what is wrong but I am now late for another appointment, " and then took off! 2.5 hours later, same company - different agent, never showed up!

While we were waiting the couple for the next appointment showed up to look at the same house and the agent still had not showed up after discussing our disappointment with the service. The other couple said they have been receiving the same treatment all day from Triad and were also fed up. The folks who own the houses should look for another listing agent. Triad does not show square footage on their website but Zillow shows it.
