We have been renting from San Carlos for over 20 years. They are excellent at what they do. Always so very nice and extremely professional. Truly a pleasure to rent Carmel vacation homes from them.

SCA is top drawer without being irritating. Such a nice group of people to work with, always there when you need them.

3-5-21 UPDATE TO JACK - OWNER "NO" LESSER / RENTER HAS NOT SETTLED.MY ACCOUNTING STILL SHOWS "NOT PAID" WHY YOU OWE THE DEPOSIT BACK AND BACK NOW 3-5-21 IT IS PAST DUE FROM NOV 2020! YES NOV 2020! To all that review these comments, and I can say most of the somewhat positive comments are from "Friends" to Jack/James. We get it. this sort of deceit happens all the time, , but the point here is that there are "OTHER" good people that have had the "SAME" experience. "BAD" So it doesnt matter how long you have been in business so what. what does that have to do with taking someone's deposit UNETHICALLY.nothing. except keeping it for no apparent reason, ,, ESPECIALLY when we had to clean the "COTTAGE" the day we stepped into the shack. which was a 1 room no Washer and Dryer no normal REFRIG nada, ,, Also yes San Carlos Agency, Inc Carmel, Ca. takes really "CREATIVE" pictures of their so called rentals to make it look so much different that is really is. and that again is deception. because. of course it looks good. pay. and then you get there its an UTTER JOKE!

But San Carlos Agency, Inc. states "NO REFUND" Great Marketing there James/Jack. I guess its taken you 67 years which is really hard to believe. to get this "DECEIT" hammered out through the years. Also "We" didnt think that we would have to Clean the entire rental before it was livable. again everything needed to be cleaned. that in itself would "INSTANTLY" give your deposit back. and Jack/James/Office knew this at the beginning, , Again what an utter "Sham" to deny your deposit back. especially when "JOKE" add in insurance which "THANK GODNESS" we did I cant even imagine what could of taken place without taking this insurance!

Oh wait this is a "Great" idea Jack/James. since you have this so called insurance. you can put a claim-today ( 3-5-21 ) to pay back the deposit that San Carlos Agency, Inc creatively took. - steal. Yes Good Idea. take it out of this insurance, ,,t oday deeming "ACCOUNTING" error. and I cant imagine how many creative claims you have actually have taken. Jack/James you know exactly what has transpired here, , and needs corrective action today 3-5-21 ( Pay back Deposit - you have the instructions _) and be done with it, ,, and make San Carlos Agency, Inc. good on their words/contract. Have a Great Friday James/Jack its early enough to get the deposit refunded today 3-5-21 but remember the banks close early 4pm pst.

I had the wonderful pleasure of buying a house in Pebble Beach with Jack Britton and James Pfeiffer of San Carlos Agency as my agents. They were so calm, logical, reasonable and effective that the whole process went very smoothly. They represented my interests very well, all the while keeping good feelings between me and the sellers, so that when the deal was completed both the sellers and I were very satisfied with the end result. In my opinion, San Carlos has the most beautiful property options in Carmel Highlands. The house we stayed at was breathtaking and I even recognized the house as one of the houses on the TV show Big Little Lies! Also the company was extremely attentive to all questions we had during our stay.

I recently read a review about San Carlos that mentioned military members, so I thought I would chime in. I am active duty and have been renting through San Carlos for about 10 months. I could not ask for a better experience. I was on deployment in Japan when my wife and I signed the lease. Even though she was Stateside and I was on deployment, the entire staff at San Carlos made sure the process was as smooth as possible. James and his crew have taken care of all of our needs in minimal time. I would HIGHLY recommend San Carlos to anyone, not just military.

Looking to rent a home, called about a house listed with San Carlos and was told about a showing for the home. I was told to come at 4:30 and they called to change the showing to 4 bc there were so many people interested. The day before San Carlos called me to confirm I would be there at 4, I said yes I would be there. Got there at 4, along with a few other people and the agent said she wasn't able you get into the house, we would have to wait until 4:30 to see we could look in the windows. Nice, after all the planning on San Carlos's side.

The yard was a mess, grass had been weed whacked and the dead tall grass all over lawn. Yet, was told by the agent what a high end house it was, it was not, just in a semi high end area. Was told it had a high deposit because it was such a nice home, it was ok. The moral of my story is, I would recommend NOT this agency, there are plenty of agencies in Monterey to go with and this is the reason there are so many agencies bc these agents are not really affable, professional agents to work with.

This is time of year when many come for NPS, DLI and military, I live here full time and I give recommendations through my own business, this was the test for San Carlos, they failed!

I rented a home temporarily through The San Carlos agency while my primary home was undergoing renovations for flood damage. The whole process was miserable. I found Julie to be unnecessarily offensive, confrontational and rude. I would avoid this company! There are many other, better real estate places to choose from!
