When K. I. Sawyer Air Force Base was closed in 1995, The Sault Tribe took ownership of 271 residential homes, a convenience store, two hangars, and a bus maintenance garage. The Sault Tribe developed the properties into real estate rentals and named the development Sawyer Village. Sawyer Village offers affordable three and four bedroom town house apartments, duplexes and single-family homes to lease, on a monthly basis. Standard amenities in our homes include new appliances, new flooring, washer/dryer hook-ups, one and a half bathrooms, basement, garage and storage/garbage sheds.

Sawyer Village accomplishes this through 1) prudent property and asset management practices, 2) offering employment and career training opportunities, and 3) providing excellence in customer service.
The Sawyer Village Maintenance Team is second to none when it comes to a quick and reliable response to your maintenance needs. We offer our maintenance services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our technicians are well trained in every facet of home maintenance and we take pride in our friendly, helpful and professional service.
Sawyer Village offers a wide variety of storage options. At Sawyer, we offer a limited amount of indoor storage for any kind of recreational vehicle you want to store. From motor homes to pontoons, snowmobiles to classic cars, we will store it all. Most of our customers store with us from November through April, but you can set up your own timetable.

Be sure to leave a phone number where our team member can call you right back to get all the necessary information about your emergency. If you have a maintenance request, don't hesitate to call the office at 346-3919 between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, to schedule a work order. If you call for a work order after hours, please leave us a message and we will call you back to schedule an appointment.

The duplex my husband and I are in was nicely renovated with wood planned flooring and was very clean when we moved in. The neighbors are quiet and respectful. There is no riff raff on my street and its peaceful. Maintenance is ok and are quick to make repairs. The only knock I have is the kitchen countertops are in need of replacing.
