Over many years, I've had the pleasure of being a guest, catering staff, and even event staff working directly for Pervis at The Confluence, thus I have been to dozens of weddings at this truly remarkable gem in the wilds of West Virginia. What strikes me the most, after the jaw-dropping setting, are the reactions to it of the guests at an event there.

You can tell, especially, if they are more of the "city" type, who perhaps don't get out into nature like this on a regular basis. They are the ones beaming the most, because the location and all of its amenities are truly spectacular. You really can't ask for a more stunning location to host your friends and family for your most important day. And Pervis and his crew are well-known for their professionalism, attentiveness, and top-notch service all-around. It was an honor to join them for a season!

The most beautiful wedding venue resort I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. The views on this property are absolutely mesmerizing. Even if you're just an out-of-towner, you can certainly appreciate all of the compassion and hardwork this family has put into their business. Your needs come first here. We won't ever forget it!

Can't say enough good about this gorgeous venue. I had around 300 guests and I had so many say to me that the location was unique and wonderful. From the magnificent overlook and barn to the professionalism and now a brand new facility. this event center is what dreams are made of. Pervis puts everyone at ease and he can do it all! Look no further for all of your wedding needs. he has the best recommendations and knows how to run a wedding. There are so many picture perfect places here as well. We love the Confluence! I highly recommend it!

We have stayed at The Confluence Resort many times over the past several years and always 100% satisfied with an incredibly peaceful experience. Blended family with a bunch of kids and growing number of grands fit perfectly in the Vandalia House. The trail hike down to the actual confluence of rivers is a must-see for nature enthusiasts. Well done!

Beware! The Confluence advertised as a beautiful wedding venue is FRAUD. The building does not hold 200 people and is falling apart. The bathroom doors were boarded up and portapotties were placed instead. The barns were falling apart as well. The entrance to the Confluence greets you with a falling down, boarded up shack that use to be a house. The main building has no kitchen facilities. And, worst of all none of your guests will ever be able to find this place.

If you like one-lane unimproved gravel roads, then this is the place for you. The Confluence is so far from civilization, no caterers will be able to bring hot food! This facility has no business calling itself a wedding venue.

As a bride, planning a wedding is incredibly stressful. My husband and I were trying to plan the wedding from 12 hours away. Pervis, the owner, made the process of booking, planning, and organizing the venue the least of my worries. He was kind, flexible, and so incredible helpful with all the behind the scene details. He coordinated with all the vendors so I did not have to worry about directing them.

His staff were friendly and prompt to take us everywhere we needed on the golf cart shuttles. The cabins and property were above and beyond expectation. Pervis stayed involved the whole day to make sure that the bridal party were where they needed to be, at the proper time. We could not have asked for a better experience. I WOULD LEAVE 10 STARS IF I COULD!

Five stars all around. Owner was great and friendly to work with. Was always there and quick to respond if we needed anything. The land and views were gorgeous, the Patterson house and the other two cabins were top notch, clean, and a great space for families and the wedding party to stay all weekend. The bride and I let the owner know what our vision was, but then we kept our focus on having the most fun possible and the owner made sure that everything else was as flawless as possible.

We had our rehearsal dinner by the barn, the ceremony at the overlook, the reception under the tent, the after party bonfire by the barn, and the sunday brunch by the Patterson house. It all was such a great experience for all 120 guests, so much fun, so gorgeous, and such a great time spending with friends and family. I was asked no less than 10 times that night, "HOW DID YOU FIND THIS PLACE?" We couldn't have imagined a better, more low key, almost Heaven, West Virginia wedding and it wouldn't have been possible without the owner and his family.
