Living in an association we've been through several management companies over the last few years. I never felt like we mattered. Calls wouldn't be returned for a week plus. Emails went unanswered. It was frustrating. Weldon Brown Company is courteous and professional. Quick to respond to issues among the association, which we've NEVER had with other companies.

This review is over due. I am new to the HOA which Weldon Brown Company manages. From the beginning, Bud has been very responsive and professional. When I needed some documents for loan application, Bud responded to me faster even than I expected. The HOA is very friendly, and well-maintained. The neighbors are nice and caring. I feel safe and homey here.

Alright so a fresh review. I had some payment issues where I was supposed to receive a notice in December of 2019 about increased HOA fees, but I did not. For some reason, my HOA sent me this notice April 2020, along with my two payment coupon books on the 1st of June. So I went to Paylease and made the update to my autopay amount to adjust for the increase claimed in the coupon books that came with the letter.
To my surprise, I then received a letter November 2020 from Weldon Brown stating I had $400 in late fees on top of being $390 delinquent. After calling Terri, the CFO/financial manager, I found out that I had been $30 short per month since December of 2019. I explained to her my side of the story, and without hesitation, she told me that she'd transfer the amount over to the new management company.
What I am most impressed about this situation is that I behaved very rashly, but they were quite patient with me. I was fuming. A demand for $400 was a lot of money to suddenly show up in my mail box. This was the first letter I'd received notifying me of my delinquent payment after months. And I didn't have all the information at the time to understand that this wasn't their fault.
They didn't need to transfer that $400 over to the new management company. They probably had every legal right to keep it, but they made an ethical move and dealt with me kindly. What they did shows me that they are a fair organization despite the type of people they deal with, and have excellent values befitting an organization which manages other people's money. That's rare to find.

I lived in a condo property managed by Weldon Brown, and I can't say enough positive things about how responsive and professional they are. Both in day to day management and emergency situations, I've found the management and staff all exceedingly helpful and diligent about addressing property issues promptly. Even when I don't ask for help, and they see me trying to remove a bush or work on the outside of my condo, they come to my aid and help me do outside repairs (remove a bush, repaint trim, etc.).
When my water sprinklers blew and there were 40' water spouts at 4am, they came and turned them off pretty quickly. When my ducts were filled with leaves and debris, they cleaned it out. Whenever I have a question or concern about my new home over the past six months, they have been informative and helpful. For a company that manages such a large property as Victoria Village, I find they are very patient with this new home owner.

I am currently serving as Vice President on our HOA Board, but even before that, I have gone to board meetings and had other dealings with Weldon Brown, I have also listened to other friends talk about their management company and have repeatedly recommended Weldon Brown. I find dealing with them quite efficient and have not had too many issues that have not been resolved with a short phone call or email. Bud Brown attends our board meetings every month and is knowledgeable in all the issues we present to him. I would recommend Weldon Brown to anyone needing a proficient, professional property management firm.

Working for a painting service provider heavily involved in the homeowners association industry, I have had the opportunity to work with many management firms. Once contacted by the management company about a communities bidding process and request for proposal, we work very closely with the property management company through the entire process. The community managers role is vital from the initial job walk developing the scope of work entailed in the proposal, preparing notices for the community outlining the project, dealing with owner issues, keeping the Board apprised of the project and performing a final job walk upon its conclusion.
