The only good things about this place is the location with well kept grounds and clean swimming pool. There is a cool creek in back of the property with lots of wildlife including alligators, turtles and many different kinds of birds. There is lots of shopping and restaurants. The unit we stayed in was dirty. The carpet wasn't vacuumed recently, the walls were black around the vents, the ceiling fans in every room were very very dusty, I opened what I thought was a closet door and it was the heater with an air filter that hadn't been changed in a long while.
This was a timeshare unit that my Mother had selected through RCI and were surprised to see that they expected us to take out our trash, clean out the refrigerator and start the dishwasher before checking out. And there is no ADA compliance (no ramps or elevators) so my 80yr old Mother had to climb two flights of stairs with arthritic hips and weak knees. we were told that the buildings were constructed before the ADA laws were enacted.
Although we had reservations, they didn't assign the unit until we checked in and all they had for a two bedroom were on the 2nd and 3rd floors only. When my Mother booked the place, she didn't think to ask about these things since she never ran into this situation before in any of her many timeshare stays. This was booked through RCI Timeshares and I think they should drop this property because it makes them look bad.
