We've worked with military families for more than 25 years so we understand the mobile military lifestyle and all of the rules and regulations that come with it. If you're looking to live near NAS Whidbey, we've got options within minutes of the base - and we'll help make the move and adjustments as painless as possible.
The tenant is required to mow & weed eat the yard, and weed the beds per the lease agreement. Trimming bushes/trees/shrubs is an owner expense/responsibility. We will drive by your home several different times of the year. If there are issues that need to be addressed we will take photos of your home and advise you what preventative maintenance and/or maintenance need to be done to your home. We will conduct yearly interior inspections and notify you of the condition of the home. This is held in our trust account for incidental repairs.

We rented a home from Windermere that developed several serious leaks from multiple bath and laundry room fixtures. We spent nearly six months in a home with only one functioning toilet out of three, no bathroom sinks, and no wall for the bathroom with a working toilet. that was in the master bedroom. The issue was never fixed even though they have made public statements via social media that it was rectified for us.

We rented from Windermere for nearly seven years, with only one late rent payment, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Late. not missed. What came of all this? Well because I stood up for my family's rights. they sued us for nearly $9000. Stay tuned for updates following the small claims case, as well as photos once the case is closed. My advice: you're better off renting a home from Bernie Madoff or living in a van. Under a bridge. Down by the river.

Applied and was approved for a apartment but they refused to provide me with a copy of the lease unless I paid a non-refundable holding fee first. I don't know if this is illegal but it is definitely unethical!

Absolutely awful. Please avoid this company. It will save you a lot of time, trouble, and money. I hardly have the time to explain all the issues we have with our home, but nothing gets resolved and maintenance issues go unaddressed for MONTHS despite multiple reminders to the agent. Please take your business somewhere else, so you can find a secure home for your family.

Charged for rekey of house when all keys were turned in and also charged for chimney clean when we never used chimney. Charged for water filter for fridge that was always bad as well. We cleaned house before move out still got charged for cleaning in amount of $571. I don't understand how this is okay?

Renting from Windermere Oak Harbor has been the single most stressful and time-wasting experience I have gone through in my 4 years of living in Oak Harbor. While living in one of their properties, they were slow to respond to maintenance requests for the apartment (requiring multiple maintenance requests before taking action), gave no heads-up when building maintenance was being performed, and seemingly weren't able to answer their phones during business hours.

After moving out, Jacklyn Allen was slow to respond to e-mails, leaving my roommate and I in the dark about the status of our moving-out inspections and processing. Two and a half months after turning in our keys, we received what little was left of our security deposit and a non-specific receipt totaling more than $900 for "wall repairs" (that weren't required) and "removal of items" (we left nothing behind in the apartment). But, maybe Ms. Allen is just a poor property manager and ours is an isolated experience. If you are active duty military, do not rent from this company. I really wish it was possible to leave a half-star review.

Some of the managers are awesome! Jason and Stephanie come mind. But some. just don't care about their clients. We're just a paycheck or a bonus to them. At least that's how I've been treated. While I understand this is a business, it's much more than that. You are not just managing property, you're managing lives! Empathy is needed. If you tell a family that they have 60 days to vacate your residence because it's being sold, you don't just say, "That's life." Especially when one member of the family is terminally ill.

And when every house in the region is price fixed at $2400 [Canadian Navy BAH], you are not serving your community. You are fleecing us for in the name of profit for out-of-state real estate investors. Also, when a renter actually takes time to go over the lease and question the contents before signing, that's not "being hostile", it's just us being diligent.

Believe it or not, renters aren't lowlifes. We just didn't have generational wealth handed down to us by our parents to make a down payment on a home. We are no different than property owners, except that were have no rights regarding equal lending and redlining in this state.

I've been very impressed with Windermere Property Management in my year at one of their properties. Over the course of my adult life, I've experienced over twenty rental management companies and Windermere is by far the most organized and responsive. I've had few issues that need attendance, but those few issues were quickly and professionally resolved.

The online payment and document portal is incredibly convenient and benefits from a contemporary design. I highly recommend the friendly and professional staff at Windermere Oak Harbor.

I have been renting with Windermere for two years now and they have been excellent to work with. I have been impressed with their responsiveness to any issue that we have had. I have rented a home via Windermere Property Management, Oak Harbor for three years. In that time everyone has always been very friendly and professional. Whenever I have had an issue they have responded speedily. Work orders are placed, emailed to me timely and the issue resolved promptly and thoroughly. I recently had my trees trimmed and someone even followed up to make sure all was well, and then sent the contractor back out to perfect the trim, without any initiation on my part.

I appreciate their online system that allows me to easily pay my rent or submit work requests. I write this review from the perspective of a renter, but as such I can tell you that if you are an owner, who needs someone to manage your property, Windermere will care about your property and because of that, as a renter, I too benefit. Win, win.

Windermere has been great so far, and very accommodating from the beginning of our time with them! I had a week to find a place to live after my husband got orders to move to the area, and Windermere was so helpful and easy to work with through every part of the process. They've also been really responsive any time we've had issues, and got things solved relatively quickly.

My husband and I moved to Oak Harbor from California in February of this year and wanted to rent before deciding to buy. Windermere Property Management helped us find the perfect home. I have only good things to say about these folks. Communicating with them is quick and easy. Everyone there is friendly and professional. And when we do need maintenance done, they are quick to get someone to take care of it.

All of the maintenance people that have come to our house have been top shelf craftsmen. From decks to electrical, Windermere finds the best people for the job. Thank you. I would also like to say that the people who own the home are wonderful. They care about their property and their renters. With that kind of rapport, we couldn't be happier. Windermere has been amazing! My family and I moved to Oak Harbor last August! Due to being military we ended up looking for a house last minute! We were in the Navy Lodge for approximately 4 days and we were able to rent our home through Windermere. The ladies were extremely friendly and all repairs that needed to be made prior to moving in were completed. If you are a military family moving to the Pacific Northwest I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND checking out Windermere properties!

I highly recommend Windermere Property Management in Oak Harbor. Being Navy, I've rented from every other rental agency in town over the 12 years I've lived in Oak Harbor and they are, by far, the best in town. The staff is friendly, and any trouble calls I've needed to submit due to the winter storms were promptly responded to with maintenance personnel usually out to my house that day, but once, the next day. Their Windermere Reality side even helped me sell a condominium I used to own.thanks Destiny!
