Several times they lost my rent payment receipt and tried to evict me for it. They do everything by paper. You have to pay rent in person because none of them know what a computer is. Don't mess with these people they prey on college students and will take advantage of you.

The fact I even put a 1 star rating makes me sick. HORRIBLE management. DO NOT waste your time hiring or doing a move out clean yourself. They deduct for damages that were made from prior tenants. Time stamped photos mean nothing. I could go on and on. STAY CLEAR.

Absolutely terrible place to rent from, do not rent from DRA. They are unhelpful, untruthful, you can never get ahold of them and never know if they will even be open when they're supposed to be. I highly recommend not renting from DRA, as the level of unhelpfulness and unprofessionalism is absurd.

Try to not rent from here. They will charge you with an unsurmountable number of fees, the people are generally difficult to work with (they like to talk down to you) and its 2022 and they still haven't set up an online payment system. How can it be 2022 and a portal still hasn't been set up for the tenants to pay through. This makes it more difficult for everyone involved. Maybe they are trying to rack up as many late fees as possible. who knows.

Awful people to rent from. Extremely unhelpful, always rude, and they make everything somehow be your fault. Had Whitman County pay for my rent through the Covid Relief Fund, DRA never filled out their end of the paperwork and as a result I got sent to collections. These people are extremely hard to deal with and are not helpful at all. It is a huge bummer that they own so many of the properties available to students in Pullman, do not rent from them if you can help it. Would give them no stars if I could.

I've had a terrible experience renting from DRA. I rented from them for over a year in colfax. At the end of my second year I wanted to move to pullman and sublease my apartment. I payed December's rent(lease ended in may) and started moving my stuff out. Come back a few days later to find they had changed my locks and gone through my kitchen cupboards while I was gone.

Of course at that point its a breach of contract and I terminated my lease and received last month's rent and deposit back. I moved in with my girlfriend in pullman who also happens to rent from dra and since then we've had our apartment flood. They lied to us over the emergency phone at 2am saying a plumber was on his way. We waited and waited and they didn't show up until 8am.

Come to find out from the plumber he never received a call until 8am when i chose to call for the 4th time. Not only that they refuse to sublease to me when my girlfriend moves states in June because "we have had issues with him in the past" I'm sorry I payed my rent on time every month and made sure my apartment was spotless when I left? Never rent from dra.

They're unfriendly and honestly seem like it's a burden for them to do their jobs. It will take forever for anyone to work on your home should something go wrong if they even remember to file the paperwork. Everything will be your fault should things go wrong and if you take legal action as I have they will hold it against you and refuse you should you need an apartment in the future.

I, like many others, am extremely dissatisfied with these company and their lack of proffesionalism and efficiency. I have had a water leak in my kitchen for 2 weeks that is now about to burst because they said they would send someone and never did and that is just one example of many. My advice, if you have to rent from them, take as many pictures as you can so you are not held liable or responsible for any issues they neglected.

My daughter just returned from winter break to find her room completely flooded and water pouring in from her ceiling. She's 21 years old. She's shocked and devastated. She is looking at all of her belongings absolutely ruined and of course she's never dealt with anything like this before. Obviously the first thing she does is call home. We advise her to call DRA.

She's does and receives a recording. She tried again. She looked up the office hours and sees that they are open so she calls again. She hangs up each time as soon as the recording comes on. She calls 911 because she feels unsafe. I tell her that I will try to call while she is dealing with the fire department. I call and listen to the full recording which includes a number for emergencies.

When I call I am shocked by the response. The women who answered the phone was incredibly rude. She demanded to know why my daughter hasn't called herself yet. Now I'm shocked. I start to explain what happened and that she has called several times and she cuts me off to tell me that my daughter needs to call right now so she can know where she lives. Again, she's being so rude that I'm just blown away.

I give her the address and explain that she's dealing with the fire department. She does not accept the address or any information from me. She gives me direction that my daughter must call her. Ok, fine. I get it. I'm not renting the place, only paying for it. I called my daughter back who is still in tears and gave her the direction. The property was disgusting and not fully equipped when the girls moved in.

We just turn the other cheek to this because basically all the rentals in Pullman are pretty gross. BUT there is no need to be such a jerk to these kids. They are just kids! I can not turn the other cheek to that woman's response to my call. She was rude, had no empathy and was unprofessional to me. Update: Steve arrived on property and has been kind and helpful. If only the receptionist could be as kind and helpful as him.

I know choices are limited in Pullman. However, if have any options do not rent from these people. I included a couple of pictures from our daughter's move in. Gross! She completed the check in sheet and many comments about it being dirty were made. Here is were the fun begins. At check out we did a walk through ( DRA, our daughter, wife and myself).

We were told what needed to be cleaned better. We did and have pictures. We received the refund check and many deductions were made. Including things that were noted with pictures. They also deducted for Mopping, which we did, and Vacuuming. No carpets in the place, all hardwood floors. Those drapes in the pictures were at move in, They charged us to clean them.

I have reached out to DRA serval times. They will not call back if you get someone the person you need to chat with will not come to the phone. They asked I send emails. Zero response. I have asked they at least say Sorry you are out of luck. Will not even give me the audacity to do that. Again avoid these people or be prepared.

Scammed my roommates and I for our entire security deposit. They steal from college kids to stay in business. Pitiful company and management. These people should be ashamed.

These are the biggest scumbags on the planet. When we moved in to their rental senior year the place was destroyed, holes in walls, broken doors, garbage that had been left rotting all summer from the previous tenants. We spent the entire month of August 2020 making the place live able and we're rewarded by our actions by DRA taking every cent of our security deposit for things they failed to fix the year before.

These are the worst humans on the planet that rake in cash from poor college students and suffering parents, turn a fat profit, and leave your students living in a condemnable home. Do not let your students live on their property, these people should be in prison.

I don't know where to start here. A fire burnt down my son and his roommates house that was rented and the boys lost everything. The fire extinguisher in the house was broken. No fire detectors. It's amazing no body was killed. They offered another home for the displaced boys and it has broken windows, broken floors - it is a SLUM. Nobody should live in this house. And they are expecting $640 per tenant? WHAT? $3200 per month? I'm contacting the Housing Authority.

Feel free to trash the place once you leave because you won't be getting the deposit back unless you restore the property to factory conditions. The place was destroyed when we moved in and a bit less destroyed when we left, yet lost the whole deposit for stupid little things we didn't bother to write in the preliminary report because they should have been so obviously not our doing. AVOID DRA if at all possible.

AFTER 3 MONTHS WE STILL HAD MOLD. Not sure if these people just don't care or are honestly too slow to do anything. Ive seen snails that travel faster than some of the people who work here. Ive called and visited the office 5 times now. We eventually ended up fixing the mold our selves. Still waiting on other repairs though. THE LADY AT RECEPTION NEEDS TO BE FIRED ASAP.

She honestly doesn't care about her job, acts like every question or concern is ruining her day. No doubt there are some nice people who work here. but there are also employees who act like they really wouldn't care if there the apartments were found to be structurally unstable. The apartments are not kept clean throughout the year. Trash if often left everywhere by other tenants and nobody does anything to clean it. All it would take is a little effort, to clean the floors and remove the trash and maybe Id give em 4 stars, but until then, the best I can do is 1

We had limited bad experiences with the DRA, all of them pertaining to staff being rude or hard to get a hold of. That said, all of our concerns were addressed, no checks were lost, and we got our full deposit back. We loved our house and it was a great price. Just like you would with any rental company, keep your receipts and be proactive!

1 star is generous. Please rent from ANY OTHER PLACE! It's not worth your money, time, and well being to deal with these people. Their rentals are barely livable and you'll probably have to do some serious cleaning yourself before you can even live in it. Most importantly, they have 0 morals and will find any way to take advantage of you and take your money.

One star still seems too many. Why isn't zero starts a thing? I am begging you- if you would like to feel comfortable and welcome in your own home. DO NOT GO THROUGH DRA! They are the rudest, most inconsiderate people I have ever experienced. The woman on the phone simply hung up us on multiple times because she was too lazy and stupid to complete a task for us- THAT WE PAY FOR. Seriously- you would rather live AANNNYYYWHEREEE but with a DRA house. It is simply for your own well being. I have never heard of a good interaction with them. If you don't believe me- call and hear it first hand. Trash.

DRA needs staff that actually will listen to students and not just instantly think they are bad. DRA never answers their phones and will never get back to you. They don't take debit or credit cards. I can't tell you enough to NOT rent from them. The houses are barely livable and they don't clean them at all before the next tenant takes over the lease. AND NEVER plan on getting your deposit back because you won't!

1 star rating. Horrible customer service, unprofessional, terrible response to property issues. They need to get with the times and offer online payments and online work orders as they tend to lose checks and maintenance issues always get missed. Feel bad for the college kids they take advantage of.

Rentals are disgusting, dirty, and unsanitary. None of the rental properties look maintained at all. Went to look at some rental properties and would not recommend wasting your time unless you like to live in dirty conditions. Office people didn't seem to friendly on the phone or in person either.

I'd give 0 stars if I could. This place is so unprofessional it's unbelievable they are still able to do business. Literally rent through ANYWHERE else. It's a joke. One time when we were in their office the lady was pointing her finger at us like we were 12 refusing to talk to us and made us leave because she knew she was in the wrong.

They charge you for items when they were not even there when you moved in to begin with. Even if you leave your place spotless they refuse to give you your deposits back. Loose your checks. Basically need to keep records of everything sent, signed, or emailed because they will find some way to lie or say otherwise. Good luck. Go with Coug housing!

DO NOT RENT FROM DRA. They are the biggest scumbags in Pullman, and they should be investigated by the state. They take advantage of college students by waiting weeks to return deposits, and then they make up charges and find every excuse to keep your deposit knowing full well that you have moved on and won't come back to fight them. Our house was left far cleaner than it was given to us, and DRA claimed our ENTIRE deposit by making up a bunch of fake charges 5 weeks after we had all moved out. Avoid this company like the plague, I hope they see criminal charges.

Beware! This "company" will do everything possible to try and add charges/fines to your rent, provide no support when maintenance issues surface, and make multiple errors regarding your billing (including losing payments regularly). A professional organization managing as many homes as they are would have opportunities to pay electronically. Not so with DRA.checks or cash only.

My son's residence had 5 couches outside (muddy and torn) left by previous residents. When the city said they had to be removed, DRA advised the tenants that THEY would need to have them removed w/I 3 days or be fined $300! Kathy (owner/manager) is the most evil woman and not willing to listen to rational thoughts/explanations. When faced with questions she has a go-to response claiming you are being unreasonable and threaten to hang up or kick you out of the office.and then she does.

A reasonable person willing to resolve issues would not react this way. Ultimately city/state housing authorities need to investigate this organization. I have spoken with no one who has had a positive experience with this company or felt they were treated fairly/respectfully.

AVOID! Nothing is electronically backed, mistakes happen conveniently for them and checks are misplaced only to have them shrug and slap you with late fees. Your security deposit will never return. They are nice people but extremely unreliable.

DON'T RENT HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. Yes, the rent is cheap, but they are terrible landlords. They hit you with false charges like nobody's business. I was also stuck with frozen pipes for two days one winter because they took THAT LONG to even respond to their emergency line! I'm still dealing with their bullshit even a year after I moved out.

I got my records from them, and found out that they forged my check-in inventory! They signed the name of a person on the lease. but they were living in Texas at the time. So the GIANT bill that I got from them at move-out was based on their own account of the place. I tried to call them and resolve this and they basically told me tough shit since I had already moved out. Save yourself some time, money, and headaches. Don't do it.

My son stood in line for 2 hours this morning to get a house for next year. He was happy to have gotten one on campus, close to his frat. Waiting in the freezing cold paid off. OH, But NO! They called this afternoon to let him know that SORRY they had already leased it to someone else! No house after all. After a severe tongue lashing from me, they said they would TRY to find him something. Criminal is the behavior and I intend on bringing an attorney on.thank goodness we have a real estate attorney in the family.

I rented from DRA from 2005 - 2008. I enjoyed my time renting from them. The office staff was for the most part very friendly and helpful. Although their apartments are not the Four Seasons they are not bad apartments. They rent big houses, small studios, 1 - 4 bed room apartments. Everything. They even do some retail space. They did a very good job of clearing snow and keeping the paths iced in the winter.

My heater went out in the middle of the night, I called the head property manager/owner at her house and she instantly sent someone over to fix it. Speaking of the head manager/owner Kathy was awesome. She doesn't take shit from anyone, but is MORE then willing to help and working things out with her tenants. Unlike other property management companies she enforces policies on pets and noise late at night. Rent from this place NOT Dabco! Or you will regret it!

This real estate place is hell on earth. When my roommates and I first moved into our apartment, every possible thing was wrong with it. There were stains all over the floor, things were falling off the wall, the washer and dryer were broken, there were holes in the walls, the screens were broken, the blinds were broken, and we had to replace everything and clean the apartment for two days and they barely reimbursed us.

They did nothing to help. They told us we had until July 31st to move out and kicked us out in May. They take forever to help, and you must call them at least three times to get them to help with anything that breaks. They are extremely unprofessional, such as being very disorganized and wearing sweats and pajamas into work. They misread renters files and lose things. NEVER RENT FROM THEM, EVER!!
