Hinsdale Management Corporation is one of the oldest owner - operated real estate firms in suburban Chicago. Founders Al and Jean Koplin began their real estate careers building houses throughout the western suburbs. They created Hinsdale Management Corporation in 1966 and started building the properties which comprise the Hinsdale Management Corporation portfolio.
Over 50 plus years the portfolio has grown to over a million square feet of space. Our commercial, residential, and retail properties are still actively leased and managed by the Koplin family.

After serving in the Korean War, Alfred (fondly known as "Al") was desperate to find work. One day he saw some women trying to move refrigerators into a store and offered to help. They couldn't pay him with money but they helped him find a position as a kitchen cabinet salesman where he quickly learned the building trade.
